Found this in my broken ps3 controllers bag, it connected to my iPhone, but the app is no longer in the appstore. should I throw it away or is there any way I can use it?

It can't connect via Bluetooth?

The controller looks to be in pretty decent condition so you could perhaps use it for retro gaming (you may encounter some lag depending on the game).

It's a shame there's no USB port so you could use it wired.

the Bluetooth works but it ask me to open the app and the app is not available in the appstore anymore.

Can you use it on PC/Android via BT?

I guess you could use the app again, but it'd require to jailbreak just for that one app (if anyone made a backup).

Damn, Gameloft were dicks requiring it an app. Google kind of did the same with Stadia, but then allowed users to turn it into a BT controller.

Funny they mention BT when it doesn't actually work without their app.

Seems Jailbreak could be an option to use it, though, is it actually worth the trouble? No.

jailbreaking is not a problem the issue would be to find the app or a tweak to let me use it. im charging an old ipad with MC3 and see if it works. i tried it in an old ipod touch 4th gen with ios 6.1 but i wasnt able to connect to the app store.
Post automatically merged:

just made it work on N.O.V.A 3 . tried brother in arms 3 and modern combat 5 but no luck. unfortunately, i was not able to download MC3 or MC2 (need old ios firmware and they are greyed out in the appstore) which are the games i wanted to play the most and apparently the controller only works with old gameloft games.
if it were not for you i would have given up on the controller, thanks

@BigArnold, sorry but i cant, i dont have a switch. also what k3nv2 says is a joke

That's what I figured. I put a post up in a forum but no one seems to replying to posts there. I also don't what this chat is attached to.

@BigArnold, try posting in the "switch noob paradise" thread
  • B @ BigArnold:
That's where I put it. But like I said other people's posts from a day or two ago have no responses. I'm not sure if the chat is part of the Nintendo forum that I'm on or a part of the website as a whole.

wait you are too new to be able to do that

@BigArnold you put the fusee or hekate.bin in the hekate/ payloads folder, or use app to push the payload to switch while its in rcm mode

The problem is is that TegraGUI isn't detecting my Switch despite it being plugged in and in RCM or maintenance mode.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Did you click install driver inside the tegra app.
  • B @ BigArnold:
I did all of that stuff and it seemed successful but still nothing. The only thing different from the guide I used was that my device wasn't showing up as APX but rather Nintendo Switch.
  • B @ BigArnold:
I did it inside the Tegra app and Zadig.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Try a different USB c cable, or different USB port on your pc.
  • B @ BigArnold:
I tried a different port and don't have another cable. I'm fairly certain there's no issue with the equipment I'm using.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Some cheap USB c cables don't send data, they only charge
  • B @ BigArnold:
The cable is usually used to connect my controller to my switch's dock.
