Hello,
First of all, I am sorry if this is not the right place to post this or if my questions are already answered somewhere else, but this is my first post around here and I don't really know my way around.
So I have recently reformatted my Wii console and modded it from scratch again after many years of not using it at all. I am running version 4.3E and I have successfully installed the Homebrew Channel on it. I am using USB Loader GX to run my Wii backups and Nintendont for GameCube games. I keep the games for each platform on two separate 128GB USB pendrives. The one for Wii backups is in WBFS format and I use Wii Backup Manager to add the games. The GameCube drive is in FAT32 format and I use the dedicated program (whose name I cannot recall right now) to install the backups on the drive as well.
For reference, the the drives I bought for this purpose are called Philips FM12FD70D/00.
However, almost none of my games are working as expected.
From my Wii games, only Mario Party 8 and Rayman Origins seem to work flawlessly. Super Paper Mario and TLoZ: Twilight Princess show a black screen right after initiating them, I don't even get to see the Wiimote security strap screen. Animal Crossing Let's Go To The City seems to work fine at first, it lets me enter some buildings, but at some point after roughly 10 minutes the game gets stuck in an endless loading screen after entering a building.
As for the GCN backups, none of them work. Right after I select them on Nintendont, all of them show a blue screen that says "No Signal", which is the same thing being displayed when the Wii is turned off. The console's power button's light stays green, though. I have tested Mario Kart Double Dash, Super Smash Bros. Melee and Pokémon XD. The closest I got to playing the game was hearing Mario's voice saying "Nintendo" in Mario Kart while still seeing the No Signal screen.
For the cIOS and IOS, I followed a tutorial to use SysCheck HDE to analyse my system, then feed the resulting log onto the ModMii PC app and have it create a guide for me to install all the necessary IOS and cIOS. After doing this, I also followed ModMii's USB-Loader configuration guide to install Nintendont and USB Loader GX. So I suppose my system configuration should be alright.
Find below the content of the latest sysCheck.csv file I generated, reflecting the state of my system after all of this process (sorry, it is in Spanish):
I have read that some USB drives enter sleep mode at some point during gameplay, causing games to freeze. I have checked the specific online manual for the USB devices I am using, and there doesn't seem to be any proper software where I can modify a hypothetical sleep timer configuration.
Any ideas on where the issue might lie? Thank you very much in advance for reading through all of this and I hope with your help I can find a solution soon.
