Disabling Parental Controls without the PIN

Please don't do this if you actually are a child whose parents have installed the restrictions for your safety, this is for the situations where somebody has enabled them without your will or if you are a parent who has forgotten their childs PIN.

I am not responsible for any damage to your 3DS, action by Nintendo or angry parents as a result of this guide.

  1. Go into parental controls and say you've forgotten your PIN, keep doing this until it says to phone nintendo.
  2. Enter the inquiry number and the systems date into https://mkey.salthax.org/
  3. Enter the key given as a result as the master key on your 3ds.
  4. Done!
There you go, you can now use your 3ds unrestricted. Enjoy! :)

i have a used nintendo dsi with parental controls left by the previous owner. is it the same?

it says: "connection is not secure. attackers might steal your info."
what do i do?

It works fine for me. If you try continuing past the prompt it should either tell you why it happened or show the website anyway.

i tried to use this recently and it wasn't able to work, it spat out an error, it said "Your master key could not be calculated. If your inquiry number is correct, this server is missing the required data to process it." and i used the exact inquiry number, both with the space and without the space

this was a couple of months ago for a 3ds i was modding for my sister's friend, she was able to tell me the original code so i was able to proceed fine, i was mostly just voicing my experience and seeing this thread reminded me that it happened. i'll try to remember this alternate version if the need ever arises again

    @Xdqwerty there is health behaviour you can add to your character, then to use a health bar is lil more complicated, google n watch a few tutorial video on it, be too hard to explain here.

    I know you have to create a health and health max variable. Then there is a calculation you use in code to subtract width size of the health bar. Google few vids.
