Just as it read. I wanted to get a vita 2000, but the LCD screen is a turn down for me. Can anyone confirm if both screens use the same connector? Does it fit? Thanks in advance.

Short answer is no, completely different set of connectors and fit. You can see on the Slim design that the LCD slots into the top with the bezel already fitted (less expensive to manufacture), whereas the OLED on the Phat is just the screen underneath the one-piece front cover.

As someone who owns both I can tell you the LCD screen on the Slim pales (literally; the colours are way less saturated) in comparison to the OLED on the Phat models. The build quality in general is better on the 1000 series Vitas, the Slim feels cheap and plasticy in the hand, the analog sticks don't feel as smooth, all sorts of little details. Only thing I would say is better is the smaller touchpad so it doesn't get unwanted inputs as much, a big thing if you're using it for PS Now/Remote Play which is the reason I bought mine.

Couldn't you solder them together or make a crude adapter?

@Xdqwerty there is health behaviour you can add to your character, then to use a health bar is lil more complicated, google n watch a few tutorial video on it, be too hard to explain here.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the character has the health behavior
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I know you have to create a health and health max variable. Then there is a calculation you use in code to subtract width size of the health bar. Google few vids.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the "greenflatbar" is one of the preset health bars btw
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea you can use any bar/sprite. It will just change the width. Ok good luck and have fun. I'm off to go shoot some pool at the bar. Talk to you later.

@BigOnYa, why does the health behavior exist if you can just use a variable?
