Nah, we just made the internet happen. That's why the US has ".com" and the rest of the world has their country at the end. The US in the internet default position :P But I agree with the gist of what you're saying. Whatever country has the server that the data goes through can seem to claim jurisdiction. At least, that's how the US does things. Any bit of data travel through any US server? They will use that to go after whoever the F*** they want. I'm sure other countries do the same.
The World Wide Web (modern internet) was invented in Switzerland by a British scientist

Bruh are you trolling?

You asked a question and they answered it (correctly).
Nah, they aren't. They've made multiple threads like this where they ask a honest question and then yell at people for telling them why it wouldn't work.

For those that live off YouTube it's like a temp/perm or a zero hour contract depending how well one does on the platform as it can end at any moment. When the great PewDiePie has trouble with YouTube then anyone can.

PewDiePie is such an alt-right, nazi, white supremacist! I really hate him!

I was thinking about how the Youtube platform is dying. and something that Keemstar said dawned on me... A while ago he said that youtube is dividing up people's channels into 3 groups, kid teen and adult I believe and depending on a channels rating certain people can see the content. Let's use my brother, for example, he is a kid and usually watches kid-related content. but in this example, let's say he watches Mcjugegrnuggets and his channel is categorized as a teen, and my brother is classified as a kid by his age. In this situation, if my brother searched for a channel that was not kid friendly, it just wouldn't come up because of his age. Some of your are probably asking how does this Violate the 1st amendment.... well for those that live in other countries the US first amendment states...

That there should be nothing that goes against...
Freedom of speech
Freedom of religion
Freedom of press
Freedom of assembly
Freedom of petition

But still, how does this violate the first amendment... well for something totally unrelated someone told me that the reason the USA doesn't censor the internet is that it theoretically violates the first amendment. So knowing this and the problem stated above don't you guys think that youtube censoring the content from views can be considered censored the internet and therefore violates the first amendment.

I get that Youtube is a worldwide platform and these laws don't apply to many, if not all other countries and that I know nothing of the laws of the USA but I just think that this a valid case and id like to start a discussion about it.
Children don't have the same rights as adults. Kthx!

Tim Berners-Lee (British dude in Switzerland) came up with the Web :P He didn't come up with the Internet, though. You can thank the United States for that. ARPANET was founded in...60 something, and grew and grew. Military complex and all that. They came up with TCP/IP in the 70s because of...some scientist names I can't remember. The web was a brilliant next step, built upon what the US had done. As the concept and foundation of the internet itself was put into place and built by the US, that's why we have the default stuffs.

None of that matters. The internet was pretty much nothing before Google, Facebook, eBay, etc came out. And some of the stuff the internet is used for, was being explored by Nintendo with the Sattelaview and British tv networks with their 1960's data streaming service thing. If the internet was never invented an alternative would've been created eventually.

You mean the popularization is more important than the foundational tech? I guess there's a solid argument for that. And Sattelaview was clever as f***. But I'd still argue the foundational tech is the reason the US has the .com, while the rest of the world has .countryname. I see it kind of as a continuum of awesome lol. Each step brought us to where we are and each part is pretty dang important.

The "current" YouTube issue is that they are sided with the common media to sell us "their" version of facts or history. And by doing that YouTube has made clear to everyone that they are very HOSTILE to whoever thinks different.

Well then, lets imagine for a moment that YT had porn on their servers mainly for their adult viewers... Would you agree that your kid brother were able to search for a subject and that subject could be wrongly interpreted and porn content was available to him as a result of this?
You can't imagine how many times I've searched for Disney content and porn was the first subject on the results on Google.

And it really has to be porn, to have the need to protect you little brother of unappropriate content? And doing so (protecting the kid) would violate the kid's rights as in the first amendment?
