Run Quake and Quake 3 on Raspberry Pi

I wanted to see if my Raspberry Pi 2 was able to run any old FPS games, so I did some research and installed Quake 1 and 3 on my Pi. To do this your Raspberry Pi must be connected to a router via ethernet or WiFi.

Here's how:

1. Get the RetroPie disk image from retropie.org.uk and burn it to a microSD (at least 8GB) with Etcher or Win32DiskImager.

2. Plug the microSD into your Pi and boot up.

3. Go to the RetroPie tab, then select RetroPie setup.

4. Select Install Packages then select Install optional packages.

5. Go to 'quake3', press enter then Install From Source.

6. When finished, exit the setup script and return to the main menu.

7. Go to Ports, then select Quake III.

8. Get fraggin'.

Note that this is a port called ioQuake3, and is not the official Quake III.

QUAKE 1 TUTURIAL:

Do the same as the quake 3 tutorial, but select Quake1 in RetroPie-Setup.

Pictures to come tomorrow.
