Hacking What exactly IS flashing?

it makes it so you can play your homebrews/roms and stuff without using a passme device...so when using a gba flash cart you dont need to put anything in the ds slot to play ds roms...just the gba slot

........Why are all these questions popping up about flashme? I just made a guide so that these sort of questions don't have to be asked. It's the top news post on the portal at the moment, give it a read, it might save you time. The first thing answered is 'What Is Flashme?'.

Maybe he's not asking about Flashme, maybe he's asking in general.
Flashing means writing to a flash type memory.
Most devices keep their main operating system (firmware) on a built-in rewritable "flash" memory chip. Replacing the firmware with a newer/other version is called "flashing" the device.

@Xdqwerty there is health behaviour you can add to your character, then to use a health bar is lil more complicated, google n watch a few tutorial video on it, be too hard to explain here. -

I know you have to create a health and health max variable. Then there is a calculation you use in code to subtract width size of the health bar. Google few vids.
