I case anyone hasn't noticed, I haven't been using The Angry Bear Cavalry lately. Well that's honestly because I have grown bored of it.
Still I think now is a good time reveal the little message behind it.
Many years ago when I first joined, I joined during The Great Pokenoob flood of 2009, when the Japanese Pokemon SS, HG, and English release of Mario & Luigi : Bowser's Inside Story. The site was a serious mess at the time and honestly I wasn't helping much back then because all I wanted was the game fixes and to bitch that the games weren't working. At the time I noticed that the staff was pretty much going mad trying to handle the flood and honestly became more like a cavalry called in to deal with hordes of zombies. But back then I didn't care much about that and just wanted to be a pokenoob.
A few months had passed and I started to mix in more with the Temp and started being active in the community, but for some reason I still thought of Staff as a cavalry, just waiting for another big release to strike again.
Around that time, my brother found this picture. It was upon seeing that picture that it just clicked, GBATemp are The Bear Cavalry! But I didn't just want it to stop there, so I added The Angry in front of it as reference to The Angry Video Game Nerd. From that day on, The Angry Bear Cavalry was born.
I started using it as a joking threat against noobs who broke the rules, since I didn't even know about The Report button back then...or at least never saw a use against it. But that didn't last very long, in fact it was only used twice (both times it was removed.) So since I couldn't use it there, I started using it as a threat against noobs who just joined and it just stayed that way.
After a few months of use though, it slowly lost it's real meaning after I started to get to know the staff more and started to enjoy the site. Pretty much after about 3 months of it's creation it lost it's meaning as the staff and became of it's own message. This message was just a joke more or less, just poking fun at it's humble heritage.
