hard choice

so with the academy im in I can get a free 10 day trip to japan over summer break
I want to go
but I can't bring my lizards
and my family is shit at feeding my lizards
so im trying to decide

goto Japan for free (leaving America for 10 days at the cost of my lizards health)
or stay here in Florida (keep my lizards healthy at tge cost of a free trip to Japan)

so
should I hope my lizards live or should I make sure they live?

Can't you ask someone you trust to look for them? Or maybe pay someone to feed them for you?

don't have the money to spend on someone to come feed them
also everyone I trust is out of town over summer

Could you tell me what specie are your lizards and for when do you need to decide?

I've had similar opertunites before
I passed both for my lizards health

bearded dragon who doesn't like plants so I need to get him live food only (he really likes mice) and an anorexic leopard gecko that will only eat crickets moths and deer meat (we brought home some meat from the deer we hut and she loved it)

I would say stick with the lizards, and then go to Japan whenever you have the money yourself. Sure the trip would be nice and all, but if you can't really take care of your lizards, it'd probably be safer to ensure they're okay then go make the trip later on in life when you're able.

go to japan and if possible get a friend for them there xD just ask your family to care, send reminder when you are there, they can't be that bad to don't care your pets when you re out, right?

I try to feed them every day because bearded dragon is very active and leopard gecko barely eats

they just dump food into their tank
and the give them mealworms and crickets which quickly hide in the ground stuff
when I feed them I take them out so that their food doesnt hide in the ground cover
and friends are out of town durning summer

Perhaps you could better explain to your parents how to properly feed your lizard, or write out a step-by-step guide to help them. I definitely would not pass this up. My school is working on a trip to Japan, but we have to pay for it.

This is a common problem with lizards... if they are daily fed. You could learn them to "hunt" for their food... But still it is a difficult decision.

yeah I'm pretty sure you could find a timed dispenser, along with a remote camera you would probably be able to put your mind at rest

maybe something like this
