Damn has it really been almost four years since I wrote a blog post?!

Hey y'all.

None of you probably know me at this point but I was super active on this forum back like 10 years ago. I'm still an active lurker but just don't post anymore unless it's updating my blog about my life. Shout out to myself for doing it in the past so I can look back and reflect on my former self to where I am now.

God damn, where to start?

I don't even know how I can sum up these four years in a quick blog post but I'll try my best.
For one, I'm now engaged. A lot of my past blog posts were my woes over my past loves. Welp, a couple months after my last blog post in December of 2015 I met my now fiancee. We were chatting for around 6 months or so prior on social media and she surprised me with a visit! She came halfway across the damn world to meet my goofy ass. She's Portuguese and she was very good friends with my best friend, they decided to surprise me and it worked out beautifully!
She came over for a month from February 2016 til March 2016 and again from May 2016 til August of 2016. I'm not gunna go into heavy detail but since then I've traveled over to Portugal three times to visit with her and she has been over here seven times. This past time she was here I proposed, she's the only person I know who can deal with my weird ass self and still love me for it. Its really fantastic honestly!

Not only that, but we both live alternate lifestyles and are both absolute night owls. She is a model and staff photographer for Suicide Girls, which is an adult modeling site (think Playboy but for girls with tattoo's and piercings and whatnot). I still have been on my reign of audio engineering. I don't make the most money in the world but between my part time/full time job and recording a handful of bands throughout the year I make ends meet. Right now, I'm currently working with THREE bands at once! This is the most I've ever worked with and it's keeping me busy every single day, and honestly, I love it! I get to do what I love and seeing the bands I work with love my work is such a rewarding feeling. My other job is working with physically/mentally disabled individuals which I love just as much, sure it can be difficult at times, but its also a very rewarding job. I'm so lucky and glad I've been able to pave this career path for myself, I know it won't last forever but I never take any day for granted.

Besides that, I have done so much in between. I talked in my last blog post about my musical project such as xSPONGEXCOREx, Nehshin, Nesh Cringle, and Satan Claus. They're all pretty defunct at this point but the fan base behind xSPONGEXCOREx is still very strong, just this past year I did another run of vinyl records and they sold out within only a couple days, insane! We did a music video for Satan Claus and another song after that before it fizzled out but both came out fantastic! I also started a couple other projects in the meantime that are Black Metal, the first one is Diplegia and the other is called Vintertodt (Runescape fans will get it <3). The latter has seen quite a bit of success within the past few months and we even just got signed to a label which is a first for me! All the reviews have been very positive for the project and I'm just rolling with it day by day and seeing what happens with it. I've also not only traveled to Portugal but I went to Georgia (the country) back in 2016 as well which was my first time going overseas. It was an absolute blast! If you've ever wanted to travel to anywhere else that's not your home country, I hate to sound like Shia Lebouf, but just do it. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had so far in life and I wish I could relive it. So much culture, learning, sight seeing, and just all around beauty. I'll never forget my time there. Between that country and Portugal, I would love if I could just live in Europe. It's so much different than the USA, so much history and culture man. Portugal is absolutely beautiful as well, honestly just as if not more beautiful than Georgia!

I think I'll end it here though before I start going on for ages. If anyone reads this and are interested in more, just ask! I just can't believe its been close to almost 4 years since my last blog post. Life has been pretty damn well for me, I have no clue what the future holds for me. I know there will be hardships, but I hope those are few and far between.

I hope y'all are doing well and I'm glad that this community is still thriving!

Love,
NeSchn <3

I enjoyed reading your story. Always interesting to see people working on what they love.
It's true, time passes so quickly. Sometimes I feel like I am missing out on stuff.

Happy to know you enjoy Portugal. I'm an immigrant from there living in UK :)
