I had a good day at your local goodwill

So this happened a while ago before all of the delays due to the [REDACTED] virus. So I went to goodwill and made my way to the electronics section. And the first thing I see are 2 gamecube controllers. Then a wii u gamepad. And then the jewel, a snes classic for only 3$ in its box.The gamepad was 2$.So i scooped the controllers and then I turn around and I saw a little kid looking at the things I have.He put them down and then he ran towards his parents. There I knew, I had to book it.So I grabbed both things and on my way out got a nice hat. Then I plugged in the snes classic and it worked! Honestly im happy I didn't go for a tv that was 20$ in that moment. So im happy that I got that. And then self isolation happened and now im stuck here.

Congrats. I kinda miss my weekly Goodwill trips, though they haven't had game systems in the longest time (they just get forwarded to computerworks goodwill instead). My favorite Goodwill haul was a SNES, 360, Atari 2600 and GBC in a tape-wrapped mystery box for $20.

Whats a goodwill? ;P
Chain of shops in the US (and possibly Canada) that take in old things, do house clearances, and otherwise obtain old junk and sell them on. Sometimes they give a portion of profits to charity (in this case they aim for 88% and get pretty close it seems).
Basically a brand, though one that is almost synonymous, of what Americans might know as thrift stores, elsewhere you will probably know them as junk shops (most of those around here went some 15 years ago and were usually just a hobby/bit of income for older guys that liked tools and random bits), charity shops* and the like

*pick any random high street anywhere in the UK and you will probably find loads and coffee shops in between, assuming the charity shops themselves don't have one.

As far as games go then years back you used to be able to get things for nothing in them, today they are often pretty on what ebay/retail goes for or are all sports games and all the other junk you get to sift through (possibly also at high prices).

I know what Goodwill is. It was just a dumb joke that it aint everywhere. We got plenty of thriftstore where I live.
