kind reminds to @Costello @mods that warns will remain forever, what's the point to keep marks/warns forever without any incentive to behave good?

Warnings do not automatically decrease. Staff have the ability to decrease warning levels if a member makes a positive impression that they are trying to improve themselves. Otherwise, the warning will be in place for 6 months to a year.

A NEW DAY A NEW UP

Kind remind @mods @Costello that warn are 2yo, and shall be expired, according to the Gbatemp forum rule, i'm here to requist to remove my warns, thnaks.

Warnings, Suspensions & Bans

GBAtemp v2 introduced IPB 2.0; including a member Warning system. Every time a member violates a rule or disrupts the forum, a warning will be applied by a member of staff. Depending on the severity of the violation of rules, the member will be dealt with accordingly:

• Under normal circumstances the member will be issued a single warning and an explanation.
  
• Under heavier circumstances the member will be issued one or more warnings and may be suspended.
  
• Under extreme circumstances, being an extreme violation of rules or disruption, the member will be banned from GBAtemp.

All actions are decided by staff only and once made are not open to public debate.


Warning System Rundown:

• Warnings can be reviewed by clicking on the percentage of warnings under the members username within a topic or in their profile. Other members outside of the forum staff CANNOT see your warn level.
  
• When a member is warned by staff, staff have the option of disabling their ability to post for a few hours/days, suspending the member for a few hours/days or enforcing a staff preview of all their new posts for a few hours/day.
  
• When a member has been warned by staff, the member will also receive a personal message from that staff member explaining why they were warned. Members may reply to this PM to explain their actions, ask a question or if they think they were warned in error; they may say so.
  
• Warnings do not automatically decrease. Staff have the ability to decrease warning levels if a member makes a positive impression that they are trying to improve themselves. Otherwise, the warning will be in place for 6 months to a year.
  
• Once the number of active warnings reaches 10 (100%), the member is banned from the GBAtemp Forums.
  
• After being suspended or banned anyone caught sneaking back onto the forum under an alias or "suspension/ban evading" will be banned.

jUST AS I SUSPECT, neither mods follow the rules and blatant they just do whatever they want, plus Admin is foever absent unable to manage all staffs

You realise the line that says "not open to public debate" means that you should PM mods, not make a public scene of yourself lol

May the mods remove your warns,

You could have just PMed a couple of mods asking for a reduction due to the passage of time instead of making a whiny drama thread and tagging Costello about it.

People that politely ask me to remove warns via PM get their warn level reduced.
People that create whiny tear filled threads about it clearly haven't learned and are trying to make the staff look bad for not lowering their warn.

Well we could remove the old warnings then add new once for being whiny?

Tip: The ones who get their warn points reduced generally do not act all high and mighty as if the staff owes him/her something. Being courteous also goes a long way.

Another tip: If you get a warn point, it is a good indicator that it is NOT your first offense. Let that sink in. Or would you rather we backtrack and award warn points that we chose not to give at that point in time?

Yet another tip: Having the mentality that you are far from a ban simply because you are not sitting on 9/10 warn points is poor mindset to have. If anything, it just shows us that you will not change for the better. Then again, why does it matter if we reduce your warn points? I mean, you have reformed, have you not? So you shouldn't even get more warns right? And since, you are far from being banned, what's the rush?

@porkiewpyne it's a general discussion to show how scuffed the rules and mods don't have that "effort" to apply. They really has that superiority feelings when they have power in hands, even in a forum like this mods think "I'm the priveleged one are I have power all sorts of thing".

PM mods or through public remind to remove my warns is just one of many ways of communication, the point is they simply doesn't want to. They want to be begged and praised before to do so.
