I am a 300 IQ genius

Y'know how hot dog stands have those enormous sausages that stick out of each side of the bun? The ones that you can never find anywhere when doing groceries? Something dawned on me.

I grabbed two sausages, unwound the casing between them, squeezed the filling together to form one long sausage, gave it a bit of a pre-boil before chucking it on the grill... Perfect.

I see! That's awesome! May do it next time I buy that kind of sausages! They sell it everywhere here in the UK! :D
 
Ha this is genius level cookery. Made me almost throw up a little, but still genius.

Next time i'm craving meat I may do this. But boil in beer before grilling for.. beer brats?
 
I don't really like mixing beer, or any alcohol, with foods. Don't like wine sauce, don't like beer marinades, the only exception I make is beer batter, but that's probably because it works well with "yeasty" stuff, and cakes soaked in stronger spirits because the sweetness needs something to counter it, and alcohol is great for that.

And yes, I do effectively char my sausages, I like the skin crispy, sorry for causing your stomach some grief. :lol:

I don't like wine sauces either, but there are a few exceptions for me. Beer brats (college nostalgia) and vodka sauce (for pastas, basically a red sauce). And hell yea beer batter is great.

Thanks for sharing your food adventure with us! My stomach can handle it lol.

@FAST6191 I'll be honest, I've never made my own, I'm a philistine and buy them from the shop. I imagine it would work though since it's dough, like beer batter, so it fits.
