(2|3)DS(i)(XL) chargers

Ahem. Yes, I have too many 3DS chargers.

Serious comment: There habe been a lot of complaints when Nintendo introduced the (old) 3DS XL for not including an AC adapter – with "sold separately" note on the packaging. I think this – opposed to the proprietary connector instead of micro-USB – was a good decision. Manufacturers should stop including chargers with every device! I got the majority of my consoles used and very cheap… and therefore almost each one of them came with its own adapter.

This blog is a meant as a reply to Chary's status: https://gbatemp.net/members/chary.315373/#profile-post-127682
@Chary I would gladly give you one. Sadly Nintendo made another crap decision: No wide input range. Every stupid phone and laptop charger comes with 90-250V, 50-60Hz input range since what feels forever. Perhaps they thought: "Who would ever want to use a handheld console on vacation? Don't need that feature in the charger."

Holy crap! So many! That's pretty sweet.

I used to have a TON of GBA SP chargers laying about everywhere. I've been wanting to play my 3DS and my older systems more these days, so I'm hoping there's a nice three-in-one charger for the SP/DS/3DS etc. That, or a dock for the 3DS to not have to plug it in and out constantly. Just leave it and charge. Hmmm.

The good thing is that you'll never have to worry about your 3DS systems ever being low on battery hahaha

I'm building a regular GBA later this month when all the parts arrive. It'll have USB C charging, and that excites me.

@Jayro That's how official DS/3DS chargers look in Europe. Japan/US ones look like the one you show.

I don't like how the European/Australian plugs are so damn bulky... Their powerstrips are freaking HUGE man. Could use one as a billy club to knock someone out. :rofl2:

I spy a UK one in an adapter! The EU ones look oddly familiar but also subtley different to the UK that I'm used to

@Jayro Please upload pictures when done with the GBA.
@Seriel Correct. No idea why. One DSi came with the UK charger + the white adapter.

Since you mention used I would assume the original owner was British and the adapter is so you can actually use it hahah

On my local auction sites I see a lot of used DS and 3DS systems that have UK chargers with adapters, I think the consoles are just imported from the UK. One used DSi I bought had a sticker from some UK used electronics store, cashgenerator or something like that.

@Jayro Yours is the weird one, only the US has chargers like that.
And small power strips is hardly a benefit because it's almost guaranteed that if you plug in a power brick it will block the sockets on both sides. :P
I quite like UK standard power strips, sure they don't usually have as many sockets, but at least the power bricks are *usually* not much bigger than the plug itself, so you do actually get to use up every socket on the power strip, they don't usually block the other sockets.

Also, you gonna IPS mod that GBA? :P
*just bought 2 DMG game boys and $300 in replacement shells, buttons and IPS screen kits* oh and 2 Ezflash Jr's :)
One day I will IPS and CleanJuice mod my OG GBA. I always liked the form factor of it, but the screen just makes it not fun to use.
