The formula to find the current year

THE FOLLOWING FORMULA WILL BE OUTDATED IN 364 DAYS!

Ever got a brainfart, where you just can't memorize the year? Well, now, here's an easy, optimized formula to find the current year!

-------------------------

y[5(200 - 50) + 5² - 110] + 10(10²) - 11.428571428571428571428571428571x WHERE x = THE NUMBER OF DAYS IN JANUARY, AND y = TWO DAYS AFTER NEW YEARS EVE!

-------------------------

...Now solve it in Standard Form, AND Slope-Intercept Form, NOW!

Comments

I'd ask someone, look at a watch, look at a calender, or even look at the teacher's board before attempting this.

What is that supposed to mean?

I don't understand either.

2 days after new years = Jan 2
number of days = 31

Just guessing here.
This doesn't work after Jan 2 I believe.

it means x in the equation is the number of days in january(30) and y is 2 days after new years eve(2)

Couldn't he just write 30 and 2 down?

I think I realised that. It still doesn't make sense. Using the figures you provided, the result would be the same. There is no real variable.

Oh, and for your information, there are thirty-one days in January.
I know an even easier way. Your birth date+Age=Win.
birth date = 1994
age = 15
------------------------
year = 2009?

:teach: Doesn't work.
An even easier way is to ask your mum. I do that all the time.
At school?

Birth Year + Age + X = Current Year

X = 0 if you've already had your birthday. If not, X = 1.
Birth Year + Age + X = Current Year

X = 0 if you've already had your birthday. If not, X = 1.
:yay: This is the formula! Now there will be Krabby Patties at the Chum Bucket and I will rule the world! *ahem*

I must say, I must give credit to Raika's formula. I merely perfected it. ;)
