Today was... different.
I went to Coquitlam mall to meet this guy I met off of craigslist, as he offered to sell me his copy of Valkyria Chronicles for 20 bucks. I went there, but since I was there early, I went to the gamestop/ebgames inside to look around. They always had rare games, and the clerks were pretty cool to talk to as well (Unlike the one next to my house with no games, and this one asshole clerk that I don't want to deal with).
I looked around, and found a copy of Fire emblem Wii, and Shining force EXE. I already had Fire emblem Wii, and I heard SFEXE was mediocre, so I passed. I looked for rare stuff, but couldn't find anything. But then, I found
Tales of the abyss for 14.99. Fuck yeah. God hand, Metriod Prime Trilogy, and now this? Fuck yeah.
They asked me about the 2 dollar guarentee, and I at first said no, but the clerk said this. "Well, that's fine, but this IS a bloody rare game. If it gets damaged in any sort, or just want a new one, we have to track down a copy, and give it to you. It's the policy. So basically, if you somehow found a copy of ICO or something, and get a warrenty, we HAVE to get you a copy." That was his exact words.
And he was right, so I did it. It was only 2 bucks anyway. If this thing broke (Being a used game and all) I sure as hell don't want to buy a copy off of ebay for 50 bucks.
I got back to the spot where we were supposed to meet.
10 minutes after, he still wasn't there. I just decided to leave. The dude even send me a text or anything, so I assumed he wasn't coming. Just grabbed a drink from Orange Julius and left back for home.
I came for Valkyria, left with Tales of the abyss.
