i blame offtopic for all of this. i swear theres more useless crap here then useful posts nowadays, i remember when i first joined this place seemed really cool, people were tlking bout decent stuff and helping each other out but now its just influx of lots of trolling and shittyness. I guess gbatemps popularity brought only negative stuff with it.

GBAtemp is the only thing that sort of fits the that, so I go to GBAtemp.

I would jump at a chance to go to a REAL forum, though.

Maybe strict rules like

-no signatures
-no spam
-no TESTING AREA
-no emoticons

"indefinitely" doesn't mean forever. I'm suggesting that registration be closed until a date comes when the staff deems it to be the proper time to re-open the doors. The only reason not to say "close it for x-amount of time" is that many people would out of spite mark this date and come back to gbatemp just to destroy any progress that had been made. This would be a process that would have to be done in waves, slowly but surely weeding out the detrimental factors.

OMG, I don't know if I can live in a world like this. First you expect me to be nice to people and now I can't have 700 links in my sig? I could live with the fact that people are dying in war everyday, but this is unacceptable. This is too much, I think I'm going to have to kill myself now because this is so unsettling. Yes, math is another horrible thing, they make me take in school but I'll never use it in real life. But that still isn't as bad as these new rules.

Urza, Mthrnite and Gaisuto were my 3 favorite mods.
Urza was always mean, but in a refreshingly honest "I'm an adult and you are just a cocky little brat" sort of way that I loved.
Gai was just awesome.
Mthr was too, wtf happened to him? Maybe its just my recent inactivity.

In all honesty, the reason I have been coming less is the noobiness, I was about the most detrimental thing to the forum back when I joined, and even then I was just poking fun at the typical teenage obsession with sex, adding a japanese cartoon twist, which I believe was for a while at least, slightly amusing.
Then the idiots and ungratefuls came, and it all went to hell.
EVERYONE in the mod team is amazing, you noobs have no idea how much better our mods are than the ones on any other forum I've seen.
Seriously, BIG thanks to all the past and present mods.
And I want to mirror Gaisuto's sentiments: the forum is getting worse, we can't get enough mods to keep it clean, and thanks to piracy being more and more mainstream the degredation will continue till this site we know and love is just a trash hole.
This is why I've always supported a private board for intelligent discussion that would be users with 1000 posts only. And its existence wouldn't be public knowledge, so newbs wouldn't want to spam to get in...

Bah, I hope ninty really cracks down on piracy so all the <idiots> can't pirate any more, and thus have no reason to come to our precious forum.
