I like skyrim

I really do. Even though I haven't gone to the part where I actually fight a dragon, I've already fell in love with the fighting system.

The graphics look amazing, I can run on high with 30FPS on my lame-ass PC! There are some graphical glitches (characters moving unnaturally, body's in thin-ari etc.) but nothing that big that can't be fixed with patches.

This is already one of my favorite games of the year (except Minecraft, of course).

Now, I have a question to the peoples of the internets who have played the previous games:
Should I play the previous games?

Minecraft is stupid now *Sigh*
But there is no real point in playing the others.

Skyrim is so good, can't stop playing it atm. The GFX indeed look good and really aren't that demanding at all, love it!
I would really recommend playing Oblivion after Skyrim, maybe put some time between them. It's the same immense experience, doesn't look that bad at all (you can mod it if you really think it looks too ugly), and IMHO the GUI is better than in Skyrim. But that's just a matter of preference.

Shut up. [/quote]
I wasn't trolling. The game just changed. I always wanted to build shit while skeles, zombies and creepers got in the way. Not 2000 potions, enderman, hunger, rpg crap.

You are my new best friend! Wewt!
And, you can play the older games, but they'll look pale in comparison.
Morrowind looks bland and desertic after you've played Oblivion.
Oblivion will look boring and ugly after you've played Skyrim.
Daggerfall... nah jk.

I'm playing it too. Coming from a newbie of the TES series, it looks great.

I only hope that I'll be able to cope with the INSANE amount of things to do.

It would be the perfect one to start with since it's got rid of many of the imperfections from the older games, imperfections and flaws that have put off a sheer amount of people.

Alright, cool. Guess I know what I'm getting for Christmas then. Would it be better for the PC or 360? Is there any significant difference in the graphics?

Oblivion was the first and only PC game I've ever purchased. Love itttt. Try it out after you're done with Skyrim, I guess.

No point playing the previous games. Skyrim basically puts them to shame. It's the same thing, but better.
The combat is a joke in morrowind/oblivion, and magic sucks.
It's a lot better in Skyrim, so if you have Skyrim...don't bother downgrading.
