Guess what, temp? I have a UTI.

UTI = urinary tract infection. Google that shit, I have it.

The symptoms started showing up last Sunday, but they weren't very noticeable. After a few days, they began getting worse and worse, and I knew something was wrong. So I told my parents, and my mom went to get me some medicine and scheduled a doctor's appointment. The appointment was yesterday, and after getting a check-up (and having my privates groped for what felt like an eternity D:), the doctor says that she's not sure if I have a UTI or not. However, I'm displaying like half of the symptoms, so I think I do... anyway, she prescribed me some medicine, and I stopped taking the old medicine and started taking this new one. Thing is... it really should be gone by now. Even though my old medicine is supposedly not as strong as this new one, the symptoms should be gone within three days of taking the meds. Today is the third day, and the pain is still there. It's gotten to the point where I'm afraid to go to the bathroom. Temp, do you know what it feels like? It feels like I'm pissing razorblades. FUCKING RAZORBLADES. Not to mention I constantly have fever, I'm always tired, my groin hurts, etc. However, this should all be gone by today... but it's not. Which could possibly mean that the infection is getting worse, and is making it's way up to my kidneys... in which case I could die. :\

Plus, it sucks because my mom was planning to go on a trip to see my step-dad in England. She was originally supposed to leave on Thursday, but she managed to get the airline people to change her flight for Saturday. My mom says that if I'm not feeling better by Saturday, she's gonna cancel her whole trip... and that would just make me feel like shit. She hasn't seen my step-dad in a while, and I'd feel so bad if I was the one that takes that away from her... plus, she already bought the ticket and everything, so that would be like wasting a whole bunch of cash on nothing.

Well that sucks.......but what's really sad is that all I can do is pray. :( Hope you get better.

:( How are we supposed to know if you do die (which would be horrible) well on google it said that that three day medicine is supposed to work really well on children but you not a kid so...... and it also said that you shouldn't hold it in and it helps to prevent it so don't hold it in hope you get better.

Wow War, I'm sorry to hear that man. Maybe it will clear up by tomorrow and everything will be all good you know? But I hope you get better and get back to your normal life. (or as normal as your life gets if that's the case.) I sincerely hope you get back on your feet and everything works out for the better. :)

Thanks for the kind words. I really hope I get better as well... though it's hard to remain positive since I've had this thing for almost a week now. Very unpleasant :[

Hope it starts to clear up for you soon. I can understand you feeling bad if your mother cancels her trip, but I'm pretty sure your well being is more important to her. It's not like you can control it.

I'm so sorry to hear that, my wife had an utey and she was miserable for a while. we got some meds and it cleared up and everything has been ok since. but keep yourself clean and you'll be ok!

Oh crap, that isn't good. UTIs sound like they hurt as hell even though I've never had one. Closest thing was when I had too much salt, but that sounds nothing like what's happening right now. DON'T DIE ON US NOW WAR!

I had that when I was 15. It bled, I missed over 3 months of high school (not too bad, it's easy as shit to get it passed, so...). They never knew where I had taken it from. I remember a conversation with the ER doctor...:
Dr: So..., you're a formal boy, huh?
Me: What?
Dr: You a formal boy or what?
At this point I thought, maybe for some reason he wanted to have some small talk or something like that to ease me about the subject, so I remember saying something like "uh, sure, good marks and tidying up the house... Well, you can ask my mother here, I guess".
He looked at me like I was a fool.
Me: What?
My mother, seemingly understanding: hmmm I think this good man here is asking you if you have maintained the sexual intercourse.
Me: Fuck, why didn't you tell before? Sure I have. But I use condoms. What's with the formal thing? I didn't stick my willy into a sewer, come on.
Dr: Ehr... okay.

Funny thing is, the bacteria they found after an analysis seems to be found in sewers... lol. Faecal waters and stuff. I swear I don't know where I got it from. In the end, they suspected I might be suffering from a chronic illness (rhenal stones, some malformation, something like that), so they had me go to a radiography with a liquid probe that would display my rhenal system. I had to spend 3 fucking days without eating the leatest bit. All I got was serum, some soup and juice at the most... Then it magically disappeared. I got cured. Fucking miracle. It felt HORRIBLE to pee. Like fucking white-hot razorblades going through my penis in a flow of lava. God. And the worst thing is that I felt like going to the bathroom every few minutes, just to let a few drops come out... Horrible. Hopefully it won't last as long as it did for me.

I've never had a UTI before and I hope I never do. Maybe, get some antibiotics from your doctor? I also hear that cranberry might help as well. I wish you the best of luck in curing your UTI.

Never heard about cranberries, but blackcurrants do work. Probly because of their high content in C vitamin. Anyway, just go to the doctor and have your prescribed antibiotics, it should work if you take the right doses.
