I ordered my PS3

I have just ordered my Ps3 ( Literally minutes ago )

It cost me £270 for a 250gb slim model with Uncharted 1 and Killzone 2.
You may know where to get it cheaper but oh well, I'm happy. I'm getting it at the latest Friday, I'm really excited, I can't wait.

What games do I need, I won't be able to buy and new games until next month ( When I get payed again ) and even then I won't have much ( As I'm paying the ps3 off half now, half next month ) When I say what do I need I mean what are the essentials, I've never had a PS3 but I've got a 360 ( So no FF, Battlefield, MW2 ect )

I will add to my list as it is made:

Little Big Planet ( My addition ) My sister has said she is going to buy me this for looking after my niece multiple times :D
MGS 4 ( My addition )
Ratchet & Clank
Heavy Rain
Uncharted 2
God Of War III (Yes I have number 1 and 2 on the PS2 and have completed them)
Demon's Souls(RPG)
Infamous(Action)
Heavenly Sword(Hack & Slash)
Valkyria Chronicles(Tactical RPG)


Just to add It sounds like I'm rich or spoilt because I have a Wii a 360, a DS Lite, A Psp and now a PS3, well let me explain

The Wii
Well this is the family's, we all play it and my dad bought this a few years back, this was meant for us all to play and so is not mine , I share it with my brothers and sister ect.

The 360
Well my older brother bought this near release when he lived in the UK, he is in the army and so is now based in Germany, the reason he left it was that he was being posted in Afghanistan and so he couldn't take it, he said we could could keep it while he was out there, then when he came back he decided to leave it at home forever and so this is mine and my little brother's

The PS3
This console will be mine, I have started working this year ( I'm 16 ) and this is what I have wanted, this month I got a new job and this is what my first paycheck ( Not all of it as I'm paying it over two months ) is going to.

The PSP
This is my little brother's, he got it for Christmas ages ago ( Its a 1000 ) and he said I could have it, he doesn't play it

The DS Lite's
I have my own from the same Christmas my brother got his PSP and my sister bought 1 for her and her daughter ( My Niece )



My stuff ( Excluding the PS3 obviously as it will not be here for a few days )

I second that there the only games that I beat the story mode over 7 times.

Yeah, God of War is damn good fun. Get the remastered collection for the PS3, because I heard that Blu-Ray makes it absolutely stunning.

and there is a good cart racing game similar to LBP coming out soon called modnation racers

Definately get Uncharted 2, it's a great game, both single and multiplayer. Also, if you like the UT/Quake games, get Unreal Tournament 3. It's arguably the best one yet and certainly worth it.

If you don't mind spending more money, Heavy Rain, Mirror's Edge and Metal Gear Solid 4 are great single player experiences.

I know you've already listed most of these, but it's good to have a second opinion, right? :)

It's rather easy to import though, and it shouldn't cost too much either.

I wouldn't go as far as to call it stunning, but it does look pretty good. The collection is a bargain considering the amount of entertainment you get for the price definitely.

I imported the Chinese version from Hong Kong quite a while back, its completely in English so you don't miss anything, and all PS3's are region free so you don't have to worry about compatibility. There is a US version available too now, and the only difference between them is that they run on different dedicated servers. If you have a PS3 I would definitely recommend Demons Souls, its one of the best games I have played this gen.

hmm i think a lot of people missed the point of the first post he's looking for PS3 games not multiplatform games

I'd honestly avoid Heavenly sword. Less than 8 hours long is my biggest gripe. And those 8 hours aren't good enough to make up for it.



Demon's Souls and 3D Dot Game Heroes is ALL you need this gen.
