My experience with that iso site

I joined the site and liked it a lot back in 2015.

Once Craze got banned, my account got deleted because I spoke my honest opinion - I didn't agree with his ban. He was one of the people who kept the site alive all this time.

I made a new account and eventually became a moderator. I was usually the only golden name online... All of the other staff are dead. So I tried my best to keep the site from getting any worse. I did it with no benefits to myself, only to help the site out.

Then that one chaotic site was becoming bigger and more popular. I joined it under an anonymous name because the iso site was banning anyone who registered for the site. I had no intention of turning against the original site but rather to help both sites out.

Apparently there was idiots spamming the site, calling me a bitch and whatnot because I bricked one of my 3DS's (the spammers think that makes me incapable of moderating a forum where no technical skill is required) and the staff banned me for it. I was one of the few active moderators left and they banned me for something that isn't even my fault. I stuck with the site throughout the whole time, even when everyone was migrating to the chaotic site.

This shows how the site is run - You get banned for speaking your opinion (paragraph 1), you get banned for being on a forum that is competition (paragraph 3), and you get banned for other people's actions (paragraph 4).

This is by far the most unprofessionally run site I've ever seen. One of the other admins, Dejiko, wasn't even aware of my ban. That's some great communication, isn't it!

Even if my account was restored, I would never go back. I do not want my name associated with that site anymore. I can now see why so many people hate them.

This is why I don't go on that iso site and I stay on that chaotic site, while you get warnings for mentioning the name of other forums that are competition, they don't ban you straight away and they don't give you warnings / bans for being registered on that iso site. That iso site is not worth the time for me to browse anymore, it's filled with ads and it's harder to brows then the chaotic site.

Yeah, I use adblocker so it wasn't a big deal, but before I had it, the site was a nightmare. I see your point exactly

Warnings are fair. Bans are unfair. Bans without any notice at all are unacceptable. I woke up one day and tried to log on and I was banned lol

@McWhiters if you ever do decide to comment, make sure you don't have an opinion on a controversial topic that's different than the admins.

I hope this or any site i join in future is not like this. :(

When i first joined GBAtemp, i started to have second doubts about this place, i dunno if it was just me worrying so much or someone thinking of making me a target to exposure and get me in trouble, but i quickly became deep in thought that i will end up messing things up completly as it seems to be what i get told with a lot of things. I have a certain confidence level that i build and it doesn't take much to ruin something like that. Aside from having to deal with my own thoughts about how others will treat me, and staying out of trouble, it started to get to me until i more people started talking to me.

Sometimes i have that moment of weakness when i feel like "Maybe i shouldn't bother this person" Lack of understanding the situation, my own thoughts and feelings as well as the other, lots comes to mind. Until i have to force myself to try it anyway simply cause i want to show people I am trying, or i want growth and developement in myself. I'm reminded every day that the place i live, around me.... world online is the same as offline, is run by the same people, except is anonymous, you venture into a place you have not control over your situation like a forum you join, or websites you browse, all have possibility to ruin potential good time, and sometimes people do and will ruin it by choice. It seems both Real world and cyber world is stressful and not much different even though people treat it that way.

And that's why I prefer to stick to sites with staff composed mostly of Reasonable Authority Figures, like GBAtemp, or Project Pokemon.

A good forum exists to facilitate discussion, stopping it only when it devolves into a flame war. Although it's understandable to a certain degree for questioning another user's ban. At Project Pokemon, if I saw that, I'd probably just close the thread, certainly not instantly ban anyone. IIRC the staff did something similar here after Margen67 was banned. I'm not aware of anyone being banned for questioning Margen67's ban. That is unless that's what the staff wants us to think. (Conspiracy?) (In case anyone's wondering, I'm only kidding.)

I'll host it on my site "3dshacks".

Since I can't put the full link here, use as a tip: "what is the last 3 letters of the alphabet"?

I remember a few months back some user who complained that a moderator made fun of him and then banned him, I remember then he and the supposed mod started fighting in the blog's comment section then.

Guess the site is really run by assholes. I'll probably won't stop using it since the forum is not made by the staff but the members, and people still upload useful content to it, but I'll avoid posting from now on. (Unless of course they see this post and ban me haha).

Dude, they banned Margen67 there just because he was banned here. Also, someone else made a rant blog about that iso site and one of the admins from there registered here just to keep harassing him. Fuck those guys bruv

Wish they would let us play the NCAA football 14 on newer xbox, its one of the only games I love and own on disc still, that is not back compatible, bs.

@BigOnYa My dad recently bought a spare Series X off of me, got game pass, and saw Madden '24 on Game Pass, decided to try it out.

...He was a bit taken aback by the 60GB download size. Poor guy's still living in the 90s!

@K3Nv2 He was looking into consoles for his house anyway (for my younger siblings and himself) and I had a spare XSX and Switch I ended up selling him at pretty steep cuts. I would just give them to him, but I did buy them with the intent to sell them... and college is super expensive.
