A: Because we can

Q: How do I become a part of 'Team Your Mom'?
A: You can't. Don't bother. (few exceptions for tj_cool and Mthr and maybe only a few others who are worthy enough if they so desire, PM XFlak for details)

Q: Is anything official happening at this meeting?
A: We will be officially wasted. Does that answer your question?

Q: How can I contribute?
A: Send money or booze.

Q: Will hacking of any sort be involved with this meeting?
A: Depends. Partying comes first. Hacking comes second.

FYI, at some point in the not too distant future, there should be measurable benefits to being a part of team your mom :D

Well, even though its not advertised as a "Team Your Mom" project... my program, ModMii, is quickly becoming one of the easiest and most popular tools to mod ANY Wii. A lot of my ideas for ModMii have come from team your mom "conference calls" and discussions.
But our main project is still teaming moms all over the world, lol

Is this just an online gathering of people geting drunk and havingfun online on IRC, or is this actually an IRL event?

If it is online, I know an IRC channel we can hang out and go crazy and trash: :D

If IRL, I cannot attend, since I do not quite physically exist IRL (I have to rely on a host instead...)

    i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.
