Train dream

Two nights ago I had a really weird dream, weird because I don't know how my mind comes up with some of that stuff.
Most of the time my dreams are pretty standard stuff, no out of this world events and no paranormal stuff going on.

This time I was at a train depot, with grass and tracks all around me, I think I was not alone, some of my old high school friends were there as well. I realized some of the tracks were single tracks for some reason, looking ahead I saw a couple of small unmanned vehicles running on them, I remember they were blue and had a little top with a thing that resembled a World War One helmet (like a plate).

Not sure how but after that me and my friends were suppose to get on a train, a really long blue one, I honestly don't remember what kind of train it was, all I remember was that I had to hold to the side while it was moving, there was another train coming and if I didn't get up, I was going to get hit; I finally did get up and I thought to myself "what a dangerous train", somehow thou, it felt like it was normal, people expected us to be agile and not to get hit.
Once in the train, I remember I was in the driver car, but I couldn't look ahead, all I could see was a reflection of my window, like there was a mirror ahead of me, there was a periscope but even with that, I couldn't see ahead.
Eventually the train turned out to be a site visit for me and my high school friends, the last thing I remember was eating a sandwich and looking at a wall with an advertisement of Coca-Cola and a G.I. Joe tank, yeah, I real G.I. Joe tank but for real life; me and my friends were discussing if it was a toy or something you could buy in real life.

There was some other stuff, but sadly, I don't remember anymore. Googling around it seems that dreaming with trains relates to you and your future and depending on where you are in the dream, your subconscious either thinks that you are or you are not in control of it.
I wonder what the color has to do with anything, Maybe I am wrong or you can call me crazy but I don think dreams have a meaning.

I recommend the PBS Nova documentary, "What are Dreams?" for some of the most recent research into both types of dream-sleep and some academically conducted scientific experiments to better understand the purpose of dreams in the brain/mind.
