@JStar334, I know there are dead zones with the Wii U Gamepad because of the way I coded the thing. I not sure I remember seeing this snapping issue. Give me a bit of time, I will look into it.

i think the snapping can be caused by two things mainly:
1 idea is that the deadzones are a cross shape where the moment it hits the Y axis deadzone it sends 0 input, same with the X axis.
the other is that when the bindings get lit up in usendmii, that's when it sends full 1 on the X axis and 0 on the Y axis, since it thinks you're trying to do a digital input instead of proper analog. hopefully you can fix it, because it'd be nice to have proper full analog instead of the snapping.

Edit: i noticed that when using a (Non-Pro) classic controller, the L and R buttons aren't analog, could you make that support on the LT and RT triggers for hte poeple who emulate Xbox or DS4 controllers? and multiple controllers isn't supported either, they all send input to the same controller, unless you enable both ds4 And xbox for separate controllers. it's a bit strange, considering some people might use their wii u to have multiple controllers connected to their pc.

Reminder that moonlight wiiu is objectively better if you want to use the gamepad as a controller, since it also streams your pc's screen to the controller. Supports touch input obviously.

I may have an Nvidia GPU, but that doesn't mean my PC is powerful enough for moonlight. Besides, using UsendMii is fine for a regular controller; If I wanna play a game on the gamepad itself, it's probably something ALREADY on the Wii U.

is there any way to use the gamepad gyroscope?

And/or magnetometer. Can't forget that.
The answer for both of you is no.

There is an uncompleted issue here: https://github.com/Crayon2000/MiisendU-Wii-U/issues/14
Post automatically merged:

UsendMii 0.12.0 is now available.

Changes:
  • Use emulated button values from UsendMii instead of those received by the client.

There were a lot of changes under the hood so I really wanted to do this release now. For those familiar with git:

It's not working for me anymore, after starting the server on PC and connecting through MiisendU (updated) the PC client simply doesn't react, the 3d cube doesn't move, no buttons get pressed

Can it be a problem with your firewall blocking the new version? Is it in the same folder as the previous installation?

UsendMii 0.13.0 is now available.

Changes:
  • Added Stick Dead Zone configuration for emulated button. This is required on some controllers since the latest version with the introduction of analog stick emulated buttons.

@SylverReZ, atleast wiimmfii went fine although people only use it for Mario kart Wii
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
At least if they ban you for cheating, get another Wii. They're cheap as chips.

Remember when RiiShop was a thing?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    not really
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
It got shutdown because somebody "accidentally" leaked the database for the amount of people using the beta.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Brb
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
maybe even add UMVC3/DBFZ and make it a biathlon/triathlon
