Hi, as the title says, I am looking for a way to convert my UMD iso to an eboot. I cant seem to find a solid answer on how to do this though. Can somebody please tell me what tools I need to do this? I don't want to hafta compile anything because compiling is intimidating to me and I have failed more times than not (I found the sign_np tool on github). Thanks in advance for any advice.

Soooooo yeah, what OS are you using? There's a tool for doing this on Windows called ISO2EBOOT that I believe includes the signing tools in it as well. To be honest I never really ended up making much of these- just once or twice around when 6.35 was still relevant. I guess this is a good excuse to go compile one again though. I'll follow up if I'm successful with it

Sorry, I'm usually waaaay more informative than this. My head's just a bit fuzzy from searching for so long. I'm on Windows 10, that tool sounds cool. The last time I had a PSP was in the beginning of the m33 days, when Dark Alex was the god of the PSP CFW scene. Currently I have a Vita and running adrenaline. I remember a good amount but I've forgotten much more. Thanks for the heads up!

Edit: So I found the author's site yesterday and unfortunately, it can't handle my iso. I had tested it with GTA LCS as well and it made an eboot that PPSSPP could use and started extremely fast but showed up as corrupted data on the PSP. I think it's because the ISOs are too big. BTW, it took the 1.2gb LCS iso and shrunk it down to ~500mb-/+. Pretty cool but if it's showing up as corrupted then I'm gonna have to figure out something else. Thank you so much for the suggestion! Oh and Happy New Year 🎊

I'm late to reply back but- try renaming the folder that you have the LCS EBOOT in while on the actual PSP. PSP Eboot folders have a namespace limit and will show up as corrupted if they're too many characters long.

For instance: /PSP/Game/"GTALCS"/EBOOT.PBP

Edit: And Happy New Year to you as well :)

Thanks again for getting back to me. I was never aware of the namespace limitations and I'll try renaming the folders. I have a feeling that's the problem here cause I named the folders with the actual names and the title id in brackets. That has to be the cause

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, So old-skool.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    Yea ps3HEN is fine, don't mess with what's not broken. The HEN version irc is for the super Slims, and CFW (evilnat) for other models
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ, also what are the differences with ps3hen and evilnat?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    They both basically do the same
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    @BigOnYa ice cream cake is fucked either way

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ,
    @BigOnYa ok i read that the super slim model (the one i have) isnt compatible with cfw and that "HEN is the next best thing, it is a semi jailbreak applied on top of the OFW system software, it is geared towards console models that aren't CFW compatible, you can run homebrew, play backups but you cannot use customised system files & must reapply your customisations & HEN after every boot."
