I was in the process of updating my Atmosphere to 1.6.2 and when it says it has full support for a firmware does that include the point releases as well?

For example the Unicorn Overlord demo require 17.0.1 and Atmosphere says it supports 17.0.0 would I assume its strictly that version or the 17.0.X versions as well?

Not necessarily, I guess? 17.0.1 introduced no changes to the actual code, so Atmosphere works perfectly fine on 17.0.1 as well.

So despite trying multiple guides, I couldn't figure out how to migrate from SXOS to Atmosphere. After a lot of wasted time, I did a fresh install of Atmosphere on a new micro sd card and backed up all my saves using JKSV for transfer. The only thing I couldn't figure out was how to reinstall all my games that were on the SXOS micro sd card (Tinfoil didn't recognize any installable game files). I ended up acquiring the games again.

Thanks to all who helped.

Error code still happens when I try and open photos. However it did say there's a new update available, should I download it?

You're not supposed to be trying to open photos. You're supposed to try holding the R button down, launching a GAME while still holding the R button down, and not letting go of the R button until the HBL comes up.

You hold the top trigger "R" down, keep it held down, you press "A" once on any game icon on the home screen, while still holding down "R", until you see the homebrew menu appear, then you let go of the "R" trigger button.
Okay, this time all I got was unable to start software

Did you install Tinfoil by chance, if so, can you access the homebrew menu from there? I seen a thread last week where this was the case, Tinfoil somehow messed up the homebrew menu access. @Hayato213 any ideas?
Nope. I think I might've forgotten to copy fusee.bin onto my SD card, and that's what's tripping it up.

I followed youtube tutorials to mod my Mariko switch and I admit I was not fully understanding the process and I used youtubers' zip files to mod it. Everything was working fine until today I wanted to update my CFW to 17.0.1. It updated fine but then when I attempted to update OFW I realized something weird.

My switch in OFW shows firmware in this format: "16.0.2|AMS 1.6.1|S"

Now I didn't pay much attention to it before as I assumed that's how it's supposed to be. But when watching youtube today for instance this video: (skip to 12:56)
I realized this guy has this info in completely clean format so no mention of "AMS |S".

Why is that? What did I do wrong (if any)? Does the fact that my console mentions AMS in sysnand make it dirty?
How can I have it in clean format like in the video?

Another question. Is this normal that in Sysnand (OFW) I see all the homebrew apps in gallery? It confuses me because if OFW is supposed to be clean not to get banned how come sysnand can get access to homebrew apps? Won't Nintendo see this when I go online to update my firmware?

Spoke to Tom Fulp the other day, if he can find his old Newgrounds site content like the mini Flash animations from the 2000's that played on the portal.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
So far no response, but he did say that he'll find them. Wayback Machine doesn't have em.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, atleast the 1999 versión of pico's school is avaliable (the difference between it, the 2006 versión and the 2016 versión is that the speed of the game depends of the speed of your computer and that it had the og soundtrack)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Another being Pico VS Bear, the original 1999 version before Jim Henson filed a DMCA takedown.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
The 2006 versión was made when the flash portal was made

Many people thought it was lost, but was discovered that he hid it on the same page.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, although the "secrets" system where the game was has been removed. Also pico vs uberkids had a netplay versión that was shutdown, although the swf file has been found
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Nope. There are two download buttons on the same page, where you can download the original under a file called "bear.exe". "bear2.exe", however, is the updated game in a Flash projector. P.s. this was on the archived Pico page from 2000.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's been there for a long time, too. People who search for lost media don't look hard enough lmao.

@SylverReZ, also the pico 2 demos used to be only for the newgrounds patrons but they are on internet archive too (https://archive.org/download/picos_school_2)

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
Iirc the demos were removed from newgrounds in 2022
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, or well only the demo with mindchamber's style was on newgrounds

Fun fact @SylverReZ: iirc one of the goals on the fnf Kickstarter stated that pico 2 would be finished but the Kickstarter didnt get enough money for that goal to be fullfiled

@Xdqwerty, FNF sucks, their community is toxic as hell.

@SylverReZ its a single player game

@The Real Jdbye, Yea but it has a shitton of mods with their own songs and stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@The Real Jdbye, and quite a lot of people involved in those mods get cancelled

Newgrounds wasn't the birth of FNF; rather, it was games where you beat up celebrities and parodies.
