    Well, I was unfortunate enough to not have found of 3DS homebrews at the time, and when I found that it was possible to hack in Pokémon for free using the browser injector thing, it was too late as I had updated already. I also was unfortunate to find out I could get tubehax after buying a Powersaves3DS device. Oh, and not to say that I bought a 2DS in hopes of keeping that one up to date and my old one outdated...

    so I could keep menuhax, but I later found out that an exploit for later versions was released short after buying my 2DS. Anyway, I now have CFW on both consoles and I'm happy with that :D

    Sounds kinda like what I did, minus the second system
    I got Powersaves3DS on Christmas 2015, then downgraded + CFW'd my system and started using PKHeX like two weeks later. Not as much extra spent, but extra nonetheless
