    I really think software complacency is a dangerous thing. Just because it's familiar doesn't mean you should stick to it - and if you completely ignore everything else then you can be left blindsided if you're unexpectedly forced to change.

    Since I joined this forum I've been involved in hundreds of threads where these special little snowflakes have a muddy understanding of how reality works, and are utterly convinced that they can just wave a magic wand and make situations work the way they are expecting. This has ranged from the technical, legal, political, financial, societal, and PR situations.
