Product Information:

While Peak Design’s Everyday Sling is the smallest bag in its Everyday line, it is roomy enough to pack your Nintendo Switch and accessories. Let’s take a closer look at what it fits and if it’s fitting for you!

Peak Design impressed with the recently-reviewed Everyday Backpack v2. But if you’re looking for a more compact option, then it might be worth looking into the company’s Everyday Sling v2.

There are three different Peak Design Everyday Sling v2 models based on the capacity (3L, 6L and 10L) and three colour variants. The model under review is the Midnight Blue 6L model which retails at €110 and comes with the following items::

  • Everyday Sling v2
  • 2 FlexFold divider
  • 2 external carry straps

At this price, you’ll be getting a Peak Design product that bears the company’s premium craftsmanship as well as lifetime warranty, as with the Everyday Backpack v2. And indeed the Everyday Sling v2 is well built. The weatherproof exterior not only ensures that your belongings are safely stored but it is also made of durable nylon canvas. Together with its stylishly minimalist design, the Peak Design Everyday Sling v2 is very versatile whether it’s to use during your commute, travels or hikes.

The padded shoulder strap makes it comfortable to wrap around your body; although I wish the backside that gets in contact with your body was padded for added comfort.

As with the Everyday Backpack v2, Peak Design focused as much on the practical design as it did on the aesthetics. On the outside is a zippered compartment that is perfect for storing small tech accessories such as cables, earphones or even a power bank.

Within the main compartment, there is another, smaller zippered pocket with 4 small internal stretchy pockets. These can be adequate for storing smaller items such as Switch game cartridges or microSD cards. Peak Design also included two external carry straps in this smaller pocket which further expands the carrying options of this bag. This is quite a unique feature of a sling and I’m all in for such innovative takes.

As for the main compartment itself, the 6L model features a padded tablet sleeve for storing up to 11” tablets. It’s a perfect fit for a device like the Xiaomi Pad 6. While a very welcome inclusion, I found that accessing this sleeve can be restrictive. This is also an issue with the Everyday Backpack v2 and I hope Peak Design can address this in its future bags, maybe with stretchy sleeve access.

Other than this downside to the tablet storage area, the main compartment is easily accessible and offers generous space. You can further create (or remove) compartments with the included dividers which attach via velcro. In the main compartment, the Everyday Sling can hold a handheld console such as the Nintendo Switch or Anbernic win600. It even has space for accessories such as chargers and controllers. This sling can even become a storage for your full Nintendo Switch kit, as Peak Design suggests. By detaching the Joy-Cons, you can fit in the screen in the tablet compartment, while the main compartment can house the dock, cables and a Pro controller (or two) easily.

I found it to be a good companion for travels as it allows practical access to documents and devices. The Everyday Sling v2 can further act as a module that you can pop in and out of the Everyday Backpack v2 itself. You can further swap the sling configuration for a fanny pack-like one by retracting the shoulder strap.

The versatility that the Peak Design Everyday Sling v2 is really unmatched among slings, add that to the quality build, lifetime warranty and generous storage space, it’s easy to recommend.

My state has put a heavy tax on vape juice, taxing any juice with nicotine by the weight/oz. So to get around the bs, my local vape store only sells 0 nicotine vape juices, then they also sell straight nicotine in tiny bottles, and you mix it yourself to your 0% juice, lol
