Review Approach:

My approach for this review was to bring collectors/fans of retro games who are looking for NDS games here so they can buy this hidden gem
This game is NOT like any other sims games, this has aliens, goons, robots, and much more.
The game starts with a hard rock song playing as a car barrels down a lone desert road into a lonely, secluded town. The game will then take you to a brightly colored homescreen with a chipper little tune playing in the background. For the Create-A-Sim portion, you get to create your character with a surprising amount of detail for a DS game, you then make it into the vast, creepy, and unsettling world of Strangetown. The main story revolves around a hotel you have to take care of, Emperor Xizzle the alien, and three main antagonists, Frankie Fussili: the italian crime boss, he will make you do his dirty work until you work with special agent Penelope Red to get him in jail. The next antagonist is Ava Cadavra, she begins a cow cult and you have to work with an ancient mummy to find the weapon to break the spell of the cow. And the final antagonist is Optimum Alfred, he will require 20 fuel and a battery to help with the hotel, then he will cut off the power, forcing you to work with the lord of aliens Emperor Xizzle to repair the elevator, sneaking in you destroy his blueprints, and fight for your life. Credits roll, game ends. Well now the game is over, have fun running your hotel, and ya know what? Go down to Mamma Hoggs saloon for a drink, you need it after this journey.

Overall

Even with the simple gameplay, clunky controls, and bad graphics, this game manages to make up with the amazing soundtrack, characters, story, and atmosphere.
I love Sims 2 not only because it's nostalgic for a beautiful carefree childhood, but also because this game has some special mystical atmosphere. I remember my sincere delight when the dog with glowing eyes came to the station, when I met special people like witches, vampires, when skunks and penguins came to visit. Agree, this is such a special highlight of the game! Plots are usually so chambery and cozy, especially when traveling. Wanted or not, but get into the atmosphere when you see your sim dining in an outdoor kitchen, and somewhere nearby other characters are swimming in the hot springs, and the background plays cheerful music. I don't care if it's an old game, I still love it because it's atmospheric and full of interesting actions and opportunities to develop your own scenario.

  1. Augmented reality (AR) glasses have become popular gaming companions recently. TCL’s AR branch, RayNeo even has a dedicated bundle, featuring the RayNeo Air 2 and JoyDock, aimed at the Nintendo Switch. Is this the AR gaming upgrade you’ve been looking for?

  2. Outcast 2: A New Beginning is an Action-Adventure game available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

  3. Collect clues in your subject's memories, fix distorted fragments inside them, and push the Golden Butterfly out!

  4. The CP13 cassette player is the first in FiiO’s Retro line of products. Does the audio specialist do a good job at bringing back analogue music players?

  5. An exclusively-barebones keyboard, we check out NuPhy’s latest release in the Gem80!

@Psionic Roshambo, Yeah, BonziBuddy was both spyware and ad-ware. It collected children's personal information without consent as well as display fake Windows popups.

the legal drinking age here in the US is 21, as some of you may know, but i think either it should be 18 or the age you're an adult should be 21.
    +2
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and i know what you may be thinking, "why become an adult at 21? doesn't that mean that banging an 18 year old would be illegal?"
first of all, being in a relationship with someone who's 18 is technically ok, as long as it started when they were 18, but the age gap is still weird depending on how old you are. besides, the age of consent differs between different states
    +1
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
also my reasoning for adult age being 21 is because the reason that's the drinking (and now smoking) age is because it "gives them more time to think rationally and not drive drunk"
so you should have that extra time to mature and think rationally before going to serve in the military or vote
    +1
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
tl;dr the "adult" age and the legal drinking age (and voting age) here in the US should be the same

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
It's all good no one pays attention to the law anyway lol
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
What about making kids wait till 18 or 21 to drive? And yea is messed up, you can join army and die for your country at age 18, but you can't drink alcohol or smoke a cig til 21, is ridiculous

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
If someone is in the military they should be allowed to smoke and drink at 18.... Would help drive recruitment lol
