Hacking cIOSrev15 released and it's broken yay

not really the same, psp custom firmware made much more work, most, if not all of it done my dark_alex, Waninkoko, released his custom by stringing stuff together and the patches are so small, that it takes about 2 days, to go from knowing nothing to understanding the patches. If there was alot...

    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

well considering that my fix to WBFS is used, I do have copyright on the code, sure it's small, but I should have say over my code, and changing the code to something simillar, does not invalidate my copyright claim. btw, that is not speaking for everyone, that is an observation made from...

    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

interesting, you call into question, my releasing of code, I released my fix for WBFS that made it work for deletions and not corrupting data, so ya I would release changes I made. the mouse wasn't released under the GPL, so apples to oranges. What project am I working on that requires the...

    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

see, evasion. Can't take the time to read a response, just pretend everyone else is like you and steals. IOS is *seperate* modules, the GPL'd code was in modules, hence those modules were released. Look at a WAD for IOS or cIOS, there are multiple files. Waninkoko followed the GPL and released...

    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

ok.. first off, the parts based on GPL are released, which is what you based your code on. I don't have to have any ideas, to have the code, just like Hermes didn't release his code to just you, because you had some killer idea. so to be clear: http://github.com/waninkoko/ehci-module...

    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

I'd like to know which GPL code you think Waninikoko used, since he developed his own stuff. Also the modules based on GPL stuff that he was caught with, were released as source. You've already admitted that you used Hermes' code, and say you don't respect the GPL, so you won't mind if someone...

Where is the source code for the ehcmodule_fat? Since it is based on hermes 3.1 source code which is gpl.

    Hacking FAT VS WBFS

same compression ( removal of unused sectors ), but overhead of filesystem is smaller in WBFS, compared to FAT, but in either case is negligible compared to the size of the games.

    Hacking FAT VS WBFS

WBFS fragments discs, and doesn't waste space. remove a 2GB in the middle and install a 3GB, 1GB will be at the end. Fat32 with wbfs files suffers from the same problem. since there are more than 1 file, even if you defrag the drive, a single file might be contiguous, but the 2nd + files aren't...

Hacking Finally! No more WBFS drive, partition and managers

name calling, wow, the 2 year old defense... you and the other are obviously here to troll and I'm tired of feeding you. I know what I'm talking about, anyone who can program does as well, you just want to call people names to say you're right.

Hacking Finally! No more WBFS drive, partition and managers

I'm highly doubting they reversed anything, and while I agree software patents are stupid, you are comparing apples to oranges. NTFS is not patented, its a trade sceret, so reversing is possible to make a work alike product. fat32 is published and patented, therefore reversing doesn't apply.

Hacking Finally! No more WBFS drive, partition and managers

that a very self serving observation, coming from the person pushing fat32 system, again using misinformation to make an point that doesn't exist.

Hacking Finally! No more WBFS drive, partition and managers

I guess if you are already stealing games, then stealing unlicensed FAT32 filesystem from microsoft is fine. All devices, using fat32 are supposed to license it, yet another reason to avoid it. http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/system/platf...are/fatgen.mspx...

Hacking Finally! No more WBFS drive, partition and managers

ok, you don't understand much either, wbfs handles this situation without issue, infact fat32 with .wbfs files would have more of an issue. I mean WOW, you are so clueless, and yet trying to call others clueless. please read, learn and then share, because you are so lost. In fact you just made...

Hacking Finally! No more WBFS drive, partition and managers

You are correct, for the versions without the sorg mod, I think it was. The free list had an off by 1 error, caused the first block to not be freed and the last +1 to be marked free, which cause the next install to corrupt the game following the freed game and waste 1 block. My fix, fixed the...

Hacking Finally! No more WBFS drive, partition and managers

the only issue you would have could be free space, which would happen on any filesystem. every game is a different size. if you uninstalled 10GB of games, you could install 10GB of games. Fat drives have fragmentation issues, because the block size and the file sizes are different, in WBFS this...

Hacking Finally! No more WBFS drive, partition and managers

Where did you get this information? I've noticed this whole thread is dependent on misinformation, by people who don't know. before the fix that went into 1.4 or was it 1.5 ( in the loader only ) you only lost a block on delete, unless you used the one mod, which marked it deleted and didn't...

    Hacking Defrag Program For WBFS

I don't think fragmentation is the issue, however, reformatting and re-installing the games will defrag it. if you init it, it _IS_ defragged.
