10-15% update trick on Mario Galaxy WORKS!

The 10-15% update trick does indeed work!
It worked for a few people on the forum and I decided to do it for myself and it doe work!

I'd try it, but I'll wait until there is an update for the Wiikey. No use risking anything if I know the game won't work right?
Think I'll wait this time to actually buy this game

It's so much nicer to actually have a booklet and stuff, even driving home with that box is way more fun than watching some progress bars..But the temptation is big with this title

I want to try this trick too, but how do you know when to turn of the Wii? Is it maybe possible for someone to post a screen shot or an example of where the progress bar approximately has to be?

That doesn't surprise me at all. It looks like you're quite new here, and turning a Wii off while updating sounds very risky.

i have a WII PAL 3.1E with Wiikey 1.9G last firmware

I have made long ago the trick 10% with MP3 ok....With this SMG i am obliged to remake this trick 10% because a guy cool

say to me that as i have makes the trick 10% with MP3 i not have more need to make trick 10% with SMG....Somebody confirm me

No you still have to do the 10% trick with the SMG disk as it asks you for an update when you put the sik in even if you did teh trick previously with MP3, otherwise iIf you leave it updating all the way you will get duplicate channels.

you'll get duplicate channels which most peeps are calling semi-bricked, although everything will still work.

can't you just hide the extra channels on the 2nd or 3rd page?

yes you can, so i didnt risk my wii bricking just because of 2 channels i will never see again.

The 10-15% trick works a treat, all I did was count 15 seconds (similar to MP3), no dupe channels and all perfect, SMG rocks! by far the best looking Wii game to date.
