I respect your loathing of piracy but in all seriousness, what does one do with homebrew if one can't pirate? make their wii into a calculator? Oh wait, thats also pirating to an extent....
To use homebrew and not pirate, would render useless:
1) Emulators and ROMs, including but not limited to GBA, SNES, Calculators, PC's, Web browsers, and other things.
2)Back up loaders (downloading any back up anywhere, is still illegal despite this tax you pay, because if you read any FBI warning It says not to copy any disc and redistribute them)
3)Movies, tv shows and other things, because as I said, the FBI warning, people are still defiling that warning when they copy it and redistribute it.
4)Any tampering with Nintendo's console the makes it perform a function it was not made to do. Why? Because no matter what, a Nintendo Wii would still be a Nintendo Wii, meaning if you don't drastically change the designs you're slabbing your name on nintendos work, which is illegal (so Savemii? You can be arrested).
5) Any custom firmwares, patches, or moddings of the Wii without permission of nintendo that are sold, because once again You basing your work on someone elses hard work, and putting your name on it. If anyone sells any homebrew item, its 100% illegal and they can see a long ass time in jail.
And many mores shit.
I'd guess the most one can do with homebrew without being a pirate, theif or a dishonorable citizen, is uhh...I can't think of anything... I'll get back to you on that.
Also since he doesn't like us using it against his will, but he can use nintendos against their will, maybe he's telling us that if you want something done, we have to find a way to decrypt his work and mod it to our liking. Seems awesome to me...
