Hey guys, life took over and ive been out of the scene for well over a year. My o3ds is on 4.2u, I changed a setting stupidly in emunand and I can no longer access gateway via ds profile. I still have my blue card, but I guess my files are wrong because not a damn thing happens when I boot with it in. I can still access my gateway via go.gateway-3ds.com but I would really like to launch from ds profile again.

Any help or links would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You could install Menuhax and load gateway on boot by holding L. For that to work though, you have to access Homebrew Launcher on normal firmware, not the Gateway.

That's rather odd indeed.

Go to gateway site, grab the latest .nds for the gateway patcher.
running the file should get mset to work.

We now have a new type of exploit that lets you go into CFW on boot, without the need for the DS profile or the browser. I highly suggest you install it by following this guide:

https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki

You shouldn't lose any of your saves or games (except for GBA saves, those sometimes get wiped).

Thanks for the reply! In all honesty I only use this thing while away on business, I dont have any interest in gba/ds etc. I have rxtools installed as well (I dont even know how to boot it anymore haha) and I never used it. Thanks again tho!

Is there an idiots guide to this? Id just be happy to get my mset back tho honestly. Thank you!

Ya I am not sure, I was on 9.x to begin with, downgraded and then installed mset, so I am not sure what is different now. All I can think of is that I installed rxtools before I stopped using my 3ds, maybe I replaced the launcher.dat? I really have no clue it was so long ago. Thank you!

No worries, I can totally understand that, I just recommend it because it's my own setup and i like it because it doesn't get wiped after updating the system. Sore I can't help you get back to your mset, I've never used it myself since I have a new 3DS.

Tomorrow when I am more than 30% sane I am going to give it ago! I have had 10x more fun with the damn thing just messing with it than I have actually using it for games. So much has changed since I stopped using my 3ds, I wont lie, its slightly intimidating trying to figure out whats what!

I can totally understand that, the scene has progressed really far! Glad to hear that you'll give it a go. If you have any doubts later you can ask in this thread or in the guide's official gbatemp thread and we'll do our best to help you :)

Appreciate the help, I honestly thought I was going to met with hostility due to the sheer stupidity of something so simple in the grand scheme of things. I will most definitely post if I run into any issues, which I am sure that I will.

Are you near sea/salt water, or in general they just don't last. Sounds like if you driving a mercedes, you need a garage. I get snow n ice here so nothing worse than clearing that shit off at 6am rushing to get to work.
