Haha, I can only help but laugh at Nintendo.

They are probably so pissed right now about this.

But, my thoughts are...

They probably added mandatory and auto DSi firmware updates.

But maybe not,

The new AK2i looks a bit firmer and sturdier than AK2, I don't know how is the feel in reality, but from pictures, I got that impression..
Also, I think that this is the first cart with fully glued casing? Right?

Yeah, it seems to strongly resemble a real DS game cart

I'm not sure if gluing them shut is better than using clips though. If your clips fail, you can always glue your cart shut, but if you have to open it for some reason it's difficult to do once it's glued shut (as evidenced by that other thread).

YES!!!! NO MORE CLIPS! THANK GOD THEY TOOK MY EMAIL SERIOUSLY! Lol, but seriously.... I sent them a pretty angry email, and they took it pretty well, and said that they'd try to avoid using clips in the future, who would have thought that there would be a team that would keep their word.

I'm not the only who hates those clips

I have an ak RPG with all the clips broken lying around.

I'm thinking of using glue as a final attempt to fix it, could you recommend what glue would be suitable?

We only have common craft glue laying around, PVA glue, wood glue, glue sticks, etc.

I've never tried it (I don't let my friends rip the clips off my flash carts), but I imagine that Superglue would work (assuming you never want to open it again).
