Since xbuc.org seems to be gone forever, where else are title updates hosted at? I know a few torrent sites have them, but usually in an all-in-one package. Any alternatives now that xbuc is gone?
If it turns out to be true and the site is gone I might see about finding the packs and getting something working there (xbuc had a bunch of packs linked up on the main pages that might only be missing a few months of updates)- not sure if filetrip wants to head that way but I could put in some work if so.
Edit: although they have not posted since may they do have a twitter account: http://twitter.com/xboxuc
Edit2: found a cached page on google. Going to pull it apart later but a quick scan is not looking good http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/sear...lient=firefox-a (their CDN is just a simple url tweak rather than a different host and I do not have access to the site backend)
I think so, can't even access xbuc.org anymore, so unless they're going to come back at a later time or open another website, it looks like they're gone.
Now I can't play The Sacrifice because I don't have the title update for it... COME BACK XBUC!
Seen as for me at least "xbuc alternative" brings me to this very thread I had better flesh it out a bit
XBUC is apparently still around in some capacity at http://www.xboxuc.square7.ch/
It is missing a few things and has not been updated in a while but it is there.
There is also another really really nice site I discovered in my travels but it has DLC and XBLA downloads (I think- no other reason for megaupload links when discussing such things).
Several relatively up to date packs seem to be doing the rounds (usenet is sadly lacking a bit in this regard), links to the sites with collections might be a bit troublesome though for this site but "title update packs" is easy enough to search for.
filetrip does now have a section but nothing much has been posted yet (yet being the operative word).
Lastly many of the DLC groups have been fairly good about updates lately.
I found the following web site which had the latest Fallout New Vegas title update. Hard to find ever since that other site went down but this one actually looks pretty good. Hopefully it helps others doing google searches for Xbox 360 title updates.
