Gaming AMD Drivers

So I receiver my MSI 6950 which I ordered on Friday today. Huuuuuge package...
Had some problems though, it blocked the upwards-pointing SATA connector so I had to move my HDD cable to another connector.
Booted up Windows 7 (removed drivers first before putting the graphics card in) and it immeadiatly detected my graphics card!

A reboot later; I found myself playing MW2 at 1280*1024 at maxed out settings.

Anyway, I installed the latest drivers from the AMD website and everything went flawless, Catalyst Control Center works properly now too!
A lot of difference between this and my previous drivers experience...

Need to get used to the "different" font though. It's somehow changed...

The "different font" is probably ClearType (font smoothing).
On Windows 7, right click the desktop -> Personalize -> Display -> Calibrate Color (or just Clear Type to skip the calibration) and follow the onscreen steps.


It could also be your display resolution.
My old Radeon x1900XT card would display 1280x1024 just fine, but when I got my GeForce 9800GT that resolution had horrible text.
