Android Android Phones for AT&T

I don't want a 200$ phone.
I'm looking for something cheaper.
I know AT&T locks down a lot of their phones but I still would like one that I can root and have a good custom rom with.
Preferably on android 2.2+

HTC Aria has already been released, and it's around 120 bucks.

There is also that Motorola Atrix 4G, which looks like a fucking beast that will dominate the market. You may want to look at that.

atrix 4g = $200 i'm pretty sure

they might have some sort of deal on the captivate, that's a really nice phone with a lot of developers

I heard the Aria is really fragile and I would probably break it around the first day.

The Captivate seems really good as you can get a refurbished one for free so I will probably be looking down that road.

Also I heard the backflip with 2.2 is much improved over a backflip with 1.5.

Captivate is high-end and Aria and Backflip are low-to-middle range. It is a no brainier.
