I NEED to get this question off my chest but I currently transfered my modded save from my old semi-modded switch to my clean switch lite and this is my question, can I get banned playing it online on the new switch?
I was looking for the same information and came across this post, where the top commenter claims that simple save injection won't lead to a ban. Using hacks during online might though. I'm also planning to move a modded save to a clean Switch and will let you know what happens.

That's true. Some ppl don't have multiple switches though so might be interested in moving from emu to sys.

Alright so I'm ready to transfer my island, however I'm unable to download the transfer tool. I have tinfoil but since nearly all the shops are gone due to Google Drive's new policies, the only option now is this. Given that some people have reported problems with it though I'm not sure if it's safe to use.

Hi guys, sorry to bother, but im new to this and im just trying to make sure what i can do that won't lead to a ban, i have only 1 switch and i want to have my sysnand save for online with shittons of bells and maybe spawn some items, what would be the best course of action? making a save on emunand, hack stuff there then transfer the save?

I see people on Twitch using NHSEMobileSpawner working like a discord bot. How on earth can someone use homebrew online without getting banned? I'm using incognito to block Nintendo's servers. Even if I go online without protection I'm sure getting banned because of homebrew stuff installed.

because ACNH don't have anti-cheat measure in place and Atmosphere did great job to prevent the ban, however no prevention applies to pirated games (install NSP) and games with anti-cheat measure in place like Splatoon, Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Pokemon.

I have also some homebrew installed, and going online without any issue, I don't have any illegal game, everything was legally purchased and haven't got any issue so far

Getting back into AC. I have an island I created on an OFW Switch that I transferred to a CFW Switch. I modified the outside items so that they overlap with each other or inside the ocean and rivers. I've swapped this save file between CFW and OFW many times a few years back, but have not played with others online with it (I've had the Wi-Fi on in the background). My Nintendo Online account is still fine to this day.

Can I host online visitors? I don't plan on giving away items or uploading my dream address.

Ban related to Animal Crossing New Horizon is definitely not Splatoon 2/3 and Super Smash Bros Ultimate, but it is very unusual, rare and complicated that likely associated with map editor that cause a issue in game or possibly glitch with anti-ban protection in Atmosphere when someone go online with CFW. It cannot be explained completely about whichever is cause.

Ban that associated with Dream is delete your map from Dream server, so nothing is serious like in game ban or console ban plagued in Splatoon and SSBU.

You should have no problem to invite your friends and just ensure that you don't have hacked objects on map and be mindful of run CFW online since ban is very unclear and cannot be explained.

Thanks for the reply. I'm planning on playing with OFW online only-- the island I'm using is modified by using the Island Transfer Tool between my OFW and CFW Switches.

I have furniture thats in the water and furniture that overlaps with each other. I'm hoping that isn't a bannable offense. The top left of this image has several overlapping items

    I just recently picked up a n64 from a garage sell, and looking to mod it and add a HDMI port to it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3548173115...044&customid=4f3038da73b61afddf7e5e90f4153856

    I'd like to find a power strip and HDMI selector built in 1 unit, so I can select which game system I want, and will switch to that hdmi, and power on that plug/power supply only, so don't have all game systems powered all the time, but can't find anything like. May just have to make something myself.

    Maybe start a kick starter page and sell them, yea right. Big N would prob C&D me, not anything Big N related, but just because that's what they do nowdays. Then come out with they own in a year or so.

    @Xdqwerty, Nice. Which operating system are you installing?
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ, windows 10 and some linux distro like linux mint

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, Yeah, I'd recommend having another OS just in-case you want to play games.

    At least Linux doesn't contain spyware than what Windows has.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ, cuz of lag?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, No. Whenever you use the internet on Windows, Microsoft collects personal data and installs bloatware that isn't necessarily needed, such as Edge.

    @SylverReZ,
    I recall @impeeza mentioned some trick about not having bloatware when installing windows where you set up your country to "world" or smh like that

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Yes, you can debloat the operating system, but in some cases for me it just reinstalls them.

    @SylverReZ,
    I also recall my brother downloded a "non bloated" version of windows 11 on his pc

  • impeeza @ impeeza:
    @Xdqwerty yes, when you are installing Windows on the first steps you are asked for your current location, you MUST to select «international» so no bloatware is installed, because the bloatware is location based. if this night I have some time I will setup a VM and take screenshots.
