Wiimmfi is a custom Online-Server for DS and Wii. You need an Action Replay DS Card to run it for Online play, unfortunately.

Exactly! And if you have a PC, you have to download WfcPatcher and the Animal Crossing ROM and drop it into "WfcPatcher.exe". Don't start the Program! Then Put the modified ROM into the R4DS and done.

I currently have no clue whatsoever where my R4DS card is at the moment though :( I had it in my game carrier but I have no clue where it went! All of a sudden it was just gone.

Hi! I was wondering if you could exchange friend codes with me, I can’t upgrade to Nookington until someone buys something from my shop. If you could that would be amazing, thank you! :)

Wiimmfi replace the shutted down Nintendo WFC. You must have an Action Replay DS or a Flashcard (like R4DS; depends in your System that you use)

First, hello :), and you need to download these files into your computer:
•Animal Crossing Wild World ROM (You can download it from emuparadise.me)
•WfcPatcher (To Patch the ROM for online Play or WfcReplay; you get them on https://github.com/AdmiralCurtiss/WfcPatcher/releases)

These files are absolutely without any Virus nor Malware! You can check them as well with a Antivirus Software!)

I thought PS4/5 and Xbox One emulation would be kind of easy since they basically just a PC
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
    they sorta are a pc
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They haslve dedicated on board chips that aren't tweaked like x64/x32 afaik

but its a custom os for both of them

    designed for only specific hardware
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
so you have to learn to emulate that specific hardware which isn't as easy as you'd think

It's a locked down Linux distro basically
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think the only custom hardware is to do with the SSD and a security chip
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Probably combined in one chip
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They place married security chips onto boards iirc

Didn't see much need for a console, all the advantages have kind of disappeared
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
the ps3 used to support installing linux because the cpu was so powerful
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Then the games are $70 and they want to reboot and refresh the same game every year
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
The ps3 was always Linux they just found a way to make it open source

I'm avoiding buying from the big 3 at all atm

At one point PC game pads where poorly supported, loading a game had setup, it was complicated. Now it's almost as easy as a console.
