Hello. I'm new to this forum and wanted some help. I tried searching for a similar thread but couldnt find one.
I cleaned a family members switch lite that had a sugary drink spilled inside it. I cleaned it all up and decided to change the look of the console. After putting it back together, it would not read any game cartridges. I thought I Damaged the ribbon cable. So I went to a local shop to get a new one. Luckily, I brought the switch and installed the new cartridge reader before buying it and it also did not want to read any games. It seems a couple pins where the ribbon cables goes in have been bent.
Does anyone have any advice or techniques to try and straighten them again? Going digital is not an option unfortunately. And I'd rather not pay $100 to get a new connector soldered on. Any advice would be appreciated
