Do you know about Brick Game ('Tetris') like that, do you like it?

There's a complete Github project, written in Java (it's still NOT for the Switch, made by n0Live): https://github.com/n0Live/BrickGame

List of included games: Tetris, Dancer, Tanks, Arcanoid, Racing, Gun game, Snakes, Frogger, Invaders, Pentix.

Maybe.. Does anybody interested in porting it on Switch?..

I like it. Cute idea. Kinda bummed to find that it's written in java in that repo (would take decent amount more effort to port). Can't promise that I'll ever get a chance to actually make it but maybe someday when I'm looking for a project, I'd like to try to make this happen (unless someone beats me to it first, and please do).

Damn I loved these stupid things in the 90's.
Before I had a Game Boy I played on this "thing" and had fun with it. And even when I eventually got a Game Boy I had to hand it over to my sister sometimes for a few hours so I went back to this.
I would somehow love a port although I'd highly prefer it inside RetroArch.
Speaking of which I could swear I saw something like this already in RetroArch somewhere in the past.

Edit: I was wrong as it seems. There's no Libretro core for that. Such a shame. These devices were pretty popular back then and should definitely make it into RetroArch but that would involve to have them written in C++ and not Java.

Glad you like it! Good news, as I mess around, it's feeling definitely viable.

I'm uploading the compiled .nro for every commit and I commit often so feel free to grab the latest from the main github page and throw it on your SD to see what the latest hourly experiments look like as I go on. :)

I'll probably do soon. Thank you so much for your work!
This should be added to the app store nx as soon as it's in beta state for easy updating. :)

I think you only get like 425gb on a series s hard drive, so you get 1, 2 next gen games max
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, so you need to have another series s if you wanna play more games?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Nuh you buy extra HD n add to it, but not cheap

@BigOnYa, how can a console have more than 1 hard drives?

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
Speaking of my PS3 i havent downloaded any games yet bc my wifi is too slow
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
and also because blackouts here are very common and that could damage the console
  • MysticStarlight @ MysticStarlight:
Do you have a surge protector or an UPS?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea but to play the next gen games, you must have those games on internal, or buy the official ssd expansion cards, which are expensive
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, dunno what each one of those are
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, my PS3 was already modded when my dad bought it for me and my brother
  • MysticStarlight @ MysticStarlight:
A surge protector is a device that protects your electronics from fluctuations. I recommend having your console plugged into one of those
  • MysticStarlight @ MysticStarlight:
An UPS is even better because it has an internal battery that keeps your system on even if the power goes out, but it's much more expensive obviously
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, oh i recall seeing one in some in the houses of some relatives, including my dad's apartment
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, although whatever device we plug into them stops getting power anyways lol
