Hacking Can I run new games from disc channel?

I've got a Wiikey in a launch Wii. Is it possible to use the disc channel for new games or do I need to use something else? I have NSMBW showing up, but it wants a system update.

Just run the game through GeckoOS and it will install the needed IOS.

What you can do afterwards is to update your wiikey to 1.99 and yes. I got a wiikey also and it works like a charm still!

Anyone know how to get the Wiikey 1.99 update to work? I burned to a CD-RW and DVD+R and both times, I got unable to read disc.

And Gecko OS and Neogamma which I have on my SD card don't read it either.

According to my experience ,a DVD-R or DVD-RW could be easier for
Wii to read .......

Wii can't read CDs. At all.

It was just a test to see if I had to use a DVD.

And I know these DVD's work, I have many of them. Not sure why it won't read though. Maybe some IOS I've changed?

? The Wii can't read CDs, nor DVD+Rs (unless you Booktyped them to DVD-R). So, are you shure you booktyped them? Maybe try to use a DVD-R, probably Verbatim.

Try a Verbatim DVD-R. Burn the image with IMGBurn.
