There currently is no way to play online via emu nand.
Well, actually this true for ww/vc games only.
The online works a treat with disc based games via nand emu.
And this makes me believe that it's a loader issue. Prolly the loader is missing some init stuff when launching ww/vc games, but I might be wrong.
Also it's just the online play that is broken because you can successfully connect to online stores.

Didn't we already discuss about this? If i remember correct it was:
TriiForce + cIOS + no cheats/wiird + real nand = VC/WiiWare wifi working
TriiForce + cIOS + no cheats/wiird + emu nand = VC/WiiWare wifi not working

Yep. That's the state of things. To be thorough, you can drop the "VC" from your equations, as VC games don't use wifi.

By the way, did you end up joining the DIOS MIOS source project team?
I look forward to what you guys might end up achieving there.

Yeah it was some months ago in pm chat so people didn't know about that.
And iirc online ww games work only with
TriiForce + cIOS + no cheats/wiird + real nand + Load Apploader

Yeah your right Davebaol, sorry, i should have been more clear that i reacted to something FIX94 said, about not being able to play online in emunand. Basically neek uses emunand, it was meant to be ironic.....

I still hope somebody can figure out why, for some reason, online stuff is not working for VC/Wiiware..

Hm, I was playing Wii Music with IOS249 and noticed controller lag (with the Wii hand cursor) after a certain period of time.

I restarted it and changed the IOS to 222-mload and it worked perfect, but only played for 10 minutes.

Is there any issues regarding this?
If you were using cios rev 20 or rev21 by waninkoko then it's normal with certain hdd.
This issue has been fixed since d2x v1 and v2.
I suggest you to install d2x v7 and try again.

I updated my Wii according to ModMii (so that is included). I actually tried out earlier versions back then when I posted about RB3 controller lag.

It could be a one off something strange happened because it was playing fine to a point, I will try again to see if it happens again soon.

UPDATE: Just played again for an hour, and no lag. I'm assuming just something buggy was going on.

Thanks for your replies!

AWESOME WORK!

Final d2x v 7 works like dream!
Are there any improvements planned in regards to nand emulation for problem games?
( some Wiiware, Majora's Mask etc..)

Seeing the development of the beta releases of usb loader gx it seems fitting.
PS Anyone planning to contribute to the cover art for Wiiware, vc etc on the cover database? It seems there are a lot still missing.

Yes, Daveboal is trying to figure out why some VC and WiiWare games don't work from emulated nand. But until now the reason for the problems is unknown, even for the games that wored with rev17 and stopped working on rev21.

I don't understand why rev17 works on FAT32. IIRC, You had to use rev18+ on USB loaders to use anything besides WBFS. Was that just on USB loaders, or am I just wrong? It's been awhile, lol.

u are right. rev18+ is required (or rev4+ for hermes) for fat32 support. It also has to be supported by the loader you're using.

edit: sorry, i thought u were referring to usb-loading. IIRC, nand-emulation for triiforce was supported in rev 17
But you load the emunand off a FAT32 drive, thus my confusion.

cios rev17 has a fat module used by nand emulation only, just like rev21 and all d2x.
fraglist support to read iso games from any file system has been officially added in the cios since d2x v6, before d2x v6 usb loaders replaced the dip module in the cios with a custom one supporting fraglist. Actually it was a custom2 dip module lol.

Is either Mighty Channels or WiiFlow able to load a cIOS from the emulated nand to run a game, instead of from the real nand? Or perhaps this is how nand emulation works in the first place and I'm that clueless?
