Haven't used Devo yet but since it's running from Wii hardware and seems to improve framerates and loading times etc. would it also be able to improve anti aliasing in games? Or does it already do that? Would be pretty sweet if it did.

Hopefully those things come to DML some day too. Would love to use my Wii's Classic Controller.

I thought I would leave an update on my issue. A while ago I tried to get Luigi's Mansion working to no avail.. I updated to DM2.9 and it still didn't boot (it kept getting stuck on the DIOS MIOS splash screen). I tried re-formatting the HDD and used DiskEX -c and it still got stuck at the DIOS MIOS splash screen. I checked around and found a different rip (a "PROPER") and repeated the above process (reformat and DiskEX -c to copy the ISO to the HDD) so that the only change in variables was the game rip and it boots fine. B-)

I dunno... Audio & music are huge things for me. For Monkey Ball and Ikaruga I have to use Devo because those games just wouldn't be right without the music (fortunately USBLGX makes it seamless between DM & Devo).
Does Devolution still require an original disc? Because most of mine got completely destroyed by my little brothers so many years ago.

Yeah, it does. I think as long as it can read the first like 8 bytes of the disk, though, it can still verify it. (You'll need to get the disk image you verify it against elsewhere, though.)

i use sneek+di. Dml work fine but dm does not work. I think my problem is my hdd - goflex 1500 2,5. You can choose in option sneek led off and your wii will now has black screen exchange turn off.

Hey scooby, nice to have you back... too bad this can't be fixed atm. OverjoY knows about the issue but also has not been able to fix it..weird thing is, on some wii's it works, on others the wii shuts down..

As a work around just install DM(L) to your real nand and delete it in your emunand (and/or the diosmios bin file in the sneek folder).
This way neek2o will use DM from the real nand...

I'm experiencing some issues downloading DM from the google code page. It's me or it's a problem for all?

It works just fine, you just need to format it with the official Sandisk formatter.
Actually, I think that's the trick of what you CAN'T do. The "official" format for a SDXC card is exFAT (so that's what I'd assume that program will do automatically) and it needs to be formatted to FAT32 with a separate formatting program for that to be done.

I'm pretty sure SDFormatter is the official software, and thanks for mentioning FAT32 as i forgot to.

I didn't know Sandisk had their own formatter, thanks for that. I always thought it was weird how on their website they talk about compatibility between SDHC readers and SDXC etc. but they don't mention that you just need to format it to FAT32.

Anyway thanks for the clarification, I just wanted to make sure before getting one because I read somewhere that DML was optimized just for SDHC, which I guess was BS, or I dreamed it. :P

My 32GB Sandisk memory is more than enough for my Wii playing since I use Dios Mios USB, but what I really need is a larger than 16GB memory for my PSP, I "dream" of a 64GB+ memory stick for my PSP gaming.

+1 for the old versions d/load link on google repo. It goes all the way back to 2.2
Why not go older all the way for 1.5 as well?

I have a 32GB Sandisk atm but I don't mind paying for a 128GB and having all my homebrew and backups on there, much easier to get to than the USB the way I have things set up.

What's really cool about Pi's tho is you can have multiple SD cards with different OS on each SD card and change from say a gaming machine to a full fledged pc if wanted
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Plus all bios are set up and usually includes at least 128gbs or 64
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah but if your main goal is just to play n64 and GameCube you can save about $50 and have the portability option

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
True, but on 2 monitors at 4k. Its just want you want really, to each they own.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
For a kids aspect Anbernic would be the better option they'd probably melt over the price on a good 4k display

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
For that texasroo guy, I'd recommend the Spell and speak as his first system.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
So they buy a pi5 kit for about $150 and say a 28" 4k display probably looking around $400 total
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They'll be getting in the territory of portable Pcs anyway
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Again you get what you pay for, its like buying a S series for $300 but its only 1440p native, if you want true 4k, gotta get the X model for $500. But yea you right, when moms buying it anyways, you gotta stay cheap.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They could use HD out on their TV no real need for a monitor these days tbh the purists will disagree
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I'm kind of phasing out on the need for wanting all these consoles cool to have but they just become dust build ups
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I here ya there, I have too many myself, and have hard time letting them go, since most of mine I've modded at some point. Anymore I just play Switch on the go, seriesx at home.

    Tootles

    Tootles? Wtf
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Oh tootles
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Oh totes , lol, like Tupperware storage, I gotcha
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I'm designing my own entertainment cabinet for my man cave, to store all my systems, then I'm also designing a power supply/HDMI switcher so I can switch to whichever system I want, and power it also. Already picked up the cabinet board, but tinkering with my drawings before start
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
But yea, I have frogger arcade cabinet that I gutted and put a Pi4 then Pi5 into, but it never gets played much anymore, should sell it. Even when the kids come over, they don't want to play on it, just the xbox. TMNT and Simpson's arcade is still so fun on it, esp w 2 players.

Gonna check out the new Garfield looks like garbage
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Can't wait to see the new "stick" that can actually play Ps3 or 360 games. I know they are getting close.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
@Xdqwerty didn't you see the new garfield?
