"A month before Doom Eternal got released in 2020 on the Nintendo Switch, Bethesda confirmed this platform would no longer receive a physical version and pre-orders for hard copies would be refunded.

It didn't go down well with Switch fans at the time, with some even resorting to physical copies on other platforms. Now, fast forward to a few years later and it seems Limited Run Games has stepped in to save the day.

As you might have already seen, the latest LRG3 Summer Showcase went out with a bang - with the reveal of a physical version of Doom Eternal for Nintendo Switch. Details are still rather limited, but we do know there'll be a standard, steelbook, special and ultimate editions available.

Pre-orders will also begin on 8th July, starting at $59.99 USD.

One question many Doom fans are asking is if the game's Part One and Part Two DLC will be included.

The DLC rollout for Doom Eternal on the Switch suffered a series of delays and was also rather large in terms of file size (digitally). Limited Run hasn't mentioned anything about this extra content just yet, so we'll just have to wait and see if we're getting everything on a single cartridge or not."
