According to IGN, they just used the Gauntlet DS engine for the game that was canceled to make this game.

I'm 100% okay with it, because SNAKE EYES NEEDS FOOD BADLY.

however, 1 weird thing that is happening on my ak2
after i off the game and restart
the game will be corrupted - 3 times
other games works well
maybe time to format my SD card

Well this is below average, there are some parts that are good but not enough to make it worth the time.

Oh well it was to be expected but I hoped to have been wrong about it, could do with a good new DS action game.

Yeah, I forgot about that, but they're very different types of games, of course.

I like it so far. It's what I expected, really, and I don't think it's ugly, as IGN seemed so adamant about driving home in their review. It feels like Gauntlet, just as they said. Good enough for me.

EDIT: All right...well, I just finished the snow level, and yeah, it's pretty fugly in some areas. Still fun, though.

Okay, the Donato quick impressions review I hope someone appreciates because I'll keep doing them:

Graphically, this game is as much ass as you can possibly ass in any ass amount of time. Cutscenes are done by a mix of scanned in photos or horrible drawn 2D clip art, sometimes AT THE SAME TIME, which looks horrible.

If you can ignore that and just focus on the game itself, it's very good in a Gauntlet with Guns and Grenades way. Reloading is a bit of a itch-with-a-b and the cover system seems like a good idea but is barely necessary, but it's pretty serviceable in terms of what it's trying to do. Why they couldn't give us infinite ammo in our main weapons I know not, but that would have helped.

If you are looking for Smash TV or Gauntlet on your DS, you can definitely do worse.

Gauntlet is the one game I've waited most for, so I'll try this out and see how closely it resembles that game.

Seems decent enough. I imagine it will be over too soon. A play it, enjoy it for what it is, forget it type of game.

nah... i was just testing cheat codes
not even intending to play the game at all
not my type of game

as for support i rather buy the GI Joe retro toys and figures

EDIT: another reason that i won't be buying it for sure! this game will never ever reach my country

Couldn't get to play the actual game because of some error but I guess I didn't miss much. Shame actually, was hoping it to be as good as the C64 GI Joe was. Well I liked it back in the day
