Wait, you got banned from AliExpress? Will you get it back eventually, or will you have to make a new account?

They claimed my evidence (both video and photographic) wasn't enough to verify the fault.
I literally submitted photo and video of the PSRAM error, along with a detailed description of the issue.

Man, that's really bad, but I don't think that warranted a temporary suspension of your account. I mean, was it really hard to just say no and leave it at that? I hope you get your account back.

Nothing of value was lost, and it's easy enough to make another one. I'm really not sure what I did that warranted that response.

Maybe a chargeback was done, I have heard a lot of online shops tend to suspend accounts if a chargeback was done.
Not the case.

Yeah it really beats me, too. Did you try appealing for reactivation, too?
When I did try, it just kinda looped me back to the error page and didn't do anything. Maybe they've fixed it since but I don't really care to try.

Well, I finally got it in the mail on Thursday. I downloaded the necessary files, and booted it on my old DS Lite. It worked so far, then I performed the PSRAM test, and it passed. Then I tried some games, and good news, it worked like a charm! Definitely a good alternative for those who cannot get a CycloDS Evolution (which also had RTS and slow motion). Now that I confirmed that it works, now to order myself a label for my new flashcart. Has anyone tried to get a custom label printed on Etsy? I'm thinking of going for a metallic look: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1174115942/ds3ds-holographic-labels

I just saw they are now doing these with labels https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005620525177.html
In reality, these are not DSONE(i) clones, turns out to be the exact same hardware as the DSONE.

I'll very much get my own R4 labels from this person on Etsy. The quality looks amazing.

I found it on AliExpress, ordered 2 and they arrived today.
They were probably the last ones in stock.

Unfortunately, they had good PSRAM.

The cartridges are pretty thick, so I expect the PSRAM to be under pressure constantly.
It seems to be the cause of cold solder joint.

A lot of the settings are very hardcoded.
I can only change it to Korean by changing language=8 in the globalsettings.ini file.

Presumably supercard forgot to put Korean in the menu.

As with other language files, translating the language.txt file to Korean and saving it with cp949 encoding will make the menu appear in Korean.

If necessary, replace it with the file below to use Korean.

I trimmed the shell to reduce pressure on the cartridge.
It was much better after the change.
However, one DSONE started giving PSRAM errors.
Perhaps the crack in the lead ball widened as the pressure was relieved.

So I reballed it with a 0.3 mm lead ball.
It's a 48-BGA, but the pitch between the balls is wide, so it's not difficult.
It was successful and it works fine again.

@BigOnYa, and since the default emulator is below average i downloaded some "replacements" like snes9x for snes games for example

And I also have my ps3

Yea ps3 is a beast still to today compared to most "sticks"

If you just want pi for emulation no point when Anbernic releases new shit every two seconds
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
What's really cool about Pi's tho is you can have multiple SD cards with different OS on each SD card and change from say a gaming machine to a full fledged pc if wanted
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Plus all bios are set up and usually includes at least 128gbs or 64
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah but if your main goal is just to play n64 and GameCube you can save about $50 and have the portability option

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
True, but on 2 monitors at 4k. Its just want you want really, to each they own.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
For a kids aspect Anbernic would be the better option they'd probably melt over the price on a good 4k display

For that texasroo guy, I'd recommend the Spell and speak as his first system.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
So they buy a pi5 kit for about $150 and say a 28" 4k display probably looking around $400 total
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They'll be getting in the territory of portable Pcs anyway

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Again you get what you pay for, its like buying a S series for $300 but its only 1440p native, if you want true 4k, gotta get the X model for $500. But yea you right, when moms buying it anyways, you gotta stay cheap.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They could use HD out on their TV no real need for a monitor these days tbh the purists will disagree
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I'm kind of phasing out on the need for wanting all these consoles cool to have but they just become dust build ups
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I here ya there, I have too many myself, and have hard time letting them go, since most of mine I've modded at some point. Anymore I just play Switch on the go, seriesx at home.
