im about to hack my town and i want to back up my data so if it currupts it, it wont be lost forever.

It only SAYS that.
Just restart the game without cheats and it's fine.

download GeckoOS 1.07b, then go to rebooter options, then set remove copy flags to yes. launch rebooter. copy your AC: CF file. done.
