As of may 29 it's confirmed that Fatal Frame IV has been cancelled for Europe as well. So, I really hope these guys finish this translation for the fans sake!

It looks like one of the people involved in the English patch is in need of a coder:

Sorry, I don't have much time in September (as I've mentioned before), so PR is the first thing getting cut. Beta testers are refining stuff, and I'm still working on it when I have a moment - it hasn't died or anything.

No good news from the patching method front though. The coders available either don't want to do it or seem confused as to what's needed, and so it's off and on.

Q: When will everything be done?

A: Hopefully sometime this summer. Optimistically, I was hoping for the end of June. Realistically, end of August. The reality may be somewhere in the middle - July 31st would be a nice date since it synchronizes with last years Japanese release

Great project, though, take your time, just glad someone is willing to put in the hard work to make this game available to English users. Why they didn't release the game over here is beyong me, I'd been looking forward to it so much
